"We found the booking process very confusing thinking dogs stay for free but when we arrived were told no it's £30 which represented nearly half the room rate. This is too much for a dog who doesn't moult and you wouldn't know had been there. The website through Expedia when we went back and looked said dog staff do a fee which is misleading as I read as dogs stay for free. Needs to me make clearer or use a differed way of saying you pay for dogs."

"Room was clean and staff worked to keep it so. Staff were good at providing a decent service and giving advice. No problem with parking although I do not think it was full up whilst we stayed there. Habe stayed at the inn 3 times and have always been satisfied with way were treated. For the future feel that the inn could benefit by introducing air conditioning."

"The check in process was really quick and easy, friendly staff. The room was clean, nice Tassimo machine for coffee, cups and saucers were on the very bottom shelf, not easy to get to with mobility issues. Room view was fabulous, sat there late at night with a nice beer, relaxing after a long day of travelling and working an event, amaaazing. If am up that way again will defo stay there again"

"The parking is at the road edge ' not secure ' but ok. The railway line is close with regular trains, my room was very clean and nice linen, staff were friendly and knowledgeable, cooked full English was ok but it seemed they were trying too hard."

"Plenty of parking staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and well maintained. Restaurant toilets were spotless and restaurant was well laid out and clean. Only negative was the menu could have had more variety it was mostly based around various types of burgers with a longer stay you may get bored with the food choices. We stayed on the the Friday which was fish and chip special day to be told they had no fish. In summary we had a great stay and will certainly stay again. Please...

"We had a lovely weekend at The Red Lion. The staff were incredibly helpful both ahead of and during our stay, and the pub food and breakfasts were very tasty. Our room felt a little dated and in need of maintenance in places, especially in the bathroom, but it served its purpose for our stay and we would be happy to go again."

"What a lovely place to stay. Olde World on the exterior - modern interior. Lots of storage, comfy bed, great bathroom, onsite and secure parking. Located in a village, a 5 minute walk from a grocery store. The kithenette included tea, coffee, drinking chocolate and milk. Appliances included an electric kettle, microwave and toaster. Quiet location, easy access. Highly recommended."

"Breakfast was nice parking was good staff was excellent only one thing I did not like was the sofa bed with spring mattress it was hurting my back."

"We absolutely loved this place! The rooms were spacious and excellent. Bedding was comfortable. We had travel difficulties and arrived late and the host was gracious and accommodating. I highly recommend staying here."

"Checkin not the best - the young man checking our party in looked down at his screen while talking to us - so was difficult to hear what he said . Surprised that we were asked if we wanted our rooms ‘refreshed’ each day . Paying for the 3 rooms couldn’t for some reason be done in one payment - so 3 separate payments had to be done - which of course took longer ."
