"Gina and staff were warm and friendly. When our toilet clogged, we got upgraded. When we needed a delayed checkout, they accommodated. We had a fire for a cold night and got delicious eggs and crispy bacon for breakfast. Highly recommend for those lovers of all things Italian. "

"The hotel is perfect for Cubs fans, nothing more convenient. Very clean, nice shower & bathroom. Beds are comfortable. Staff is friendly. For the price, not worth it for people who aren’t going to games. The room doesn’t have a fridge or coffee maker. Hotel bar is very cool, but also costly. "

"The room was clean. The elevator was down and did not work, So they had to take us up to the top floor in freight elevator. Parking was around the block. Had to call down to front desk to pick up suit cases because stair case was too small to accommodate."

"Overall 3 stars is the best I can do. Overpriced - but still the cheapest rooms around the area. Basic "dark" room. The shade for the only window in the room had one small tear. Rooms on the first floor look out into a parking lot with people walking around, so best not to open it. Carpet was ok with a few rips here and there, but were sewn. No exhaust fan in the tiny bathroom. Nice location - take a right out of the hotel entrance and walk straight to the lakefront for exercise and sightseeing....

"It's an older hotel in a quiet neighborhood right across from the lake. The elevator was only big enough for 2 people and the room itself was very small. The fridge was stuffed with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks that you could purchase along with snacks, but it just takes up a ton of space we would have liked to use. The tub had no handholds or non-slick surface and with the pedestal sink, there were few places to put toiletries. We didn't use their parking, but there wasn't much...

"It is a wonderful room with a comfortable bed and couch. It should be noted that the directions are complex for parking and just entering the building. Parking is extremely difficult to find. It is also a party district but we were there during the week and it was quiet. I absolutely adored the space though once settled."

"Room was dated and not clean. Pull out sofa had stains. Window AC was loud. Not a comfortable sleeping environment at all. Elevators were unreliable. What this place offers is a top notch location, a great street-level restaurant and bar, and a great roof-top restaurant and bar. That’s the only reason it scores as high as 3. The room and other “amenities” were poor. We will not go back."
