Check-in directions were sent ahead of time and were clear and easy to follow. The location is a bit remote - eat before you get there because there isn't much around. Everything about the property is fine - nothing fancy, but provided everything we needed for a two day stay.

Overall we had a great stay at Hydrangea House. We did get a bit cold as the heating went out but it was over a holiday week so there wasn't much that could be done. We did just fine. The house is comfortable and in a great country type setting.

The house was nice and quiet. It was advertised with a view of the ocean, however the hedge was so tall it was not possible to see over it for the view. In addition, the house could use a few basic instructions on the switches, stove, washer/dryer, etc readily available, in addition it would be nice to have a few more hand towels and hooks so guests can hang them to dry. Overall the place was a solid performer, lots of room to spread out; not walkable to a town but a short curvy drive in.

Nice house, little bare bones but did the job and took care of our family. The rooms are as pictured and the beds were comfortable. The layout is nice and simple with a good open kitchen / living room with a nice TV to watch shows or play board games in. The owners were understanding and communicated through the app within hours, we never saw them personally but the key was right where they said and easy to get to and use. Good people. The house delivers what it promises, and is a good deal for the money. Overall I am happy with our visit. Small issues: The front door is very narrow. Turn sideways to enter narrow. Hard with bags. The hot water is limited and had sediment when first used (not a big deal, but a surprise.) It is easy to go through the tank quickly. Six people taking showers takes hours waiting on the tank to reheat. The washer and dryer are very loud and very slow. You can't really use the living room to relax while doing laundry. The washer sounds like an endless high pitched fart, which the kids found hilarious but made relaxing with a movie while it was running impossible. Just plan ahead on usage. The dryer takes 3+hours to do one load and still isn't very effective. There is not *really* a view of the ocean - If you are tall, stand on tiptoe at the right spot on the property, and stare towards the horizon, you will eventually realize there is an ocean there so there is technically a view, but not really. Still overall a good place&nice people.

Het huis ligt op een mooie plek in een mooi landschap. Bij aankomst was er niemand die ons ontving. We kregen een app met een code voor een sleutelkastje met daarin de voordeursleutel. Er was geen uitleg over de werking van apparatuur en andere zaken, zoals werking tv en cv, ijskast, kookplaat, vaatwasser, wasmachine, droger ed. Op diverse radiatoren waren geen knoppen aanwezig om evt temperatuur te regelen. Op 1 slaapkamer was geen kast voor de kleding. Het plafond van de badkamer vertoonde over zijn geheel zwarte schimmel en is dus ziekteverwekkend. Op de badkamer was geen stopcontact om een scheerapparaat in te steken. Op de badkamer was geen fatsoenlijke afzuiging aanwezig voor de damp. De plafondlamp van de badkamer viel soms spontaan uit. Er waren geen kleine handdoeken, voor bijv je handen te wassen, aanwezig in keuken en badkamer, alsmede geen theedoeken in de keuken. In de besteklade ontbrak een schaar. Het aantal aanwezige drinkmokken waren precies 6. Over het algemeen kan het porcelein en bestek wat meer zijn. Op een morgen bleek dat er geen water uit de kraan kwam. Bleek dat de waterleiding bevroren was. De leiding betrof een dunne plastic slang, welke vanuit een verdeelstation in een naast gekegen weiland, bovengronds naar de woning kwam. Na contact met verhuurder werd een loodgieter ingeschakeld die de watertoevoer heeft hersteld. Als dit zo blijft en niet veranderd word, kan de woning in het winterseizoen bij vorst eigenlijk niet gebruikt worden.

All good.

Very nice place to stay. We stayed two nights. Other than low water pressure in the shower everything was as dedcribed. Good contact with the owner. I can honestly recommend.
