"Room was huge and the mattress was first-rate. Staff were exceptionally helpful. The entire property was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was varied and delicious. It was just as advertised."

"We had a wonderful stay! The bed was so comfortable, the best I’ve ever had in a hotel. The included breakfast had a very large selection of japanese and western items. The staff was really helpful and even run to us to offer an umbrella when they noticed we were going outside during heavy rain. I wish I had planned to stay for two nights instead of only one. I will definitely stay there again if I go back to Beppu."

"Disappointing is the first word that comes to mind. Although it advertises itself to be "on the beach", and it is, that doesn't have much to do with anything other than our room had a peek-a-boo view of the bay. The onsen, which it proudly advertised, had an odd smell. And, the walk from the train station was a bit too long for us, pulling our suitcases along. One small elevator, very slow, with frequent long waits. Teeny, tiny toilet room. A small bathroom with a sink and nowhere to store...
