"I enjoyed the customer service by my host, Warren. He was so accommodating to my needs and questions. This was far better than a corporate chain of hotels. From the time I checked in to my last day, he had a great smile, the staff had impeccable service. He even made sure I had hot breakfast before my early safari tour! "Amazing staff, I have been using this hotel for the past 3 years when I visit a few times each year. It is actually condo full mini apartment flat with kitchen sink , microwave, fridge and plates etc. kitchen table. Nice balcony for each unit. "Foxwood House is a historic building with the main house and several out buildings. I had originally booked Coach House. we arrived in the dark (cause it sets early here) and basically just unpacked, exhausted from long flight.
TV was not working so the manager moved us to Onze Emmie suite. WOW loved it. had a lovely patio we enjoyed. large room, large bathroom.the surrounding area is very wild with flowers and vines and walking paths. I'm sure people could find fault with it but I loved the 2...
"It is a very eclectic hotel with unique lounging areas on the different floors. Staff were great and breakfast was good. There was an issue with no curtains or shades on the door to one of the balconies in our room but being on the 3rd floor mitigate any exposure. We will definitely stay again if we are ever in Johannesburg again "
"Well run facility. We stayed as a 2+2 family in the room with a double bedroom and bunk-bed in the lounge-kitchen-diner area. It was good to have this extra space and flexibility. Games room was a hit with the kids. Local restaurants/cafes are fine. Eastgate Mall is 1 mile away and safely walkable in daytime. Manager offers transfers in his car. Definitely recommend. (We went to SCI-BONO on one day which is the best science museum we've ever been to and great value.)"
