We LOVED our experience here. We booked the ryokan experience which includes dinner and private onsen in our room. We had booked a western room with comfy western beds. The dinner was fabulous but it wasn’t clear that it’s served in your room. We would have preferred either a group setting or a more traditional table setting (the western room has a table and chairs). The in-room onsen was a real treat, but the property’s onsen was also impressive. We didbthe larger one at night, and then the rooftop one alternates between males and females so we did it in the morning. There is a drum show at night in the lobby which was fun. Also the souvenir shop was stocked well. We had a great time!

The room was absolutely beautiful! The private open onsen inside our room was breathtaking. We had a perfect view of Mt. Fuji. The staff was so kind and accommodating! We loved the drum show and the breakfast inside the Garden Terrace. I loved this stay so much. Will definitely come back.

We had a relaxing stay at Bessho Sasa. The hospitality, customer service, and overall cleanliness were truly top tier, and every staff member we interacted with was warm, attentive, and thoughtful. Our private onsen experience was excellent. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that a few areas didn’t match the luxury price point. Bookings were less convenient than expected. Spa appointments can’t be booked online, and we also weren’t aware that local tours and activities can only be booked through the hotel within 7 days of arrival, which limited our options. If we had the option to book spa appointments online ahead of time, we would have booked more services. Also, I was expecting more options and higher quality options at the breakfast buffet, similar to that of the Hyatts in Tokyo. Lastly, the fixtures and finishes in our room (such as the sinks and countertops) felt dated with several dents and cosmetic defects; this typically would not bother me, but given the luxury price point, we went in with high expectations. These are small things, but worth mentioning so future guests know what to expect, especially since everything else about our stay was lovely. Overall, we still had a great experience here and really appreciated the exceptional service.

Our stay at Bessho Sasa was truly unforgettable. We experienced the kaiseki dinner and it was a cultural journey from start to finish. Thanks to Yasu, the evening became even more special. She thoughtfully explained each dish, shared the meaning behind the ingredients, and made sure we were taken care of the entire time. The hospitality continued right through to checkout. Yasu greeted us again in the lobby and offered to take a photo with Mount Fuji as the backdrop—a gesture that meant a lot to us.

I stayed at Fujisan Bessho Sasa and really enjoyed it. The ryokan is spacious and has a premium, almost luxury feel. We booked a room with a mountain view and a private bath. The view was amazing and the room was spotless. There were lots of free activities too, like a drum performance, a bar with complimentary drinks, and a piano performance. They also offer free yukata. The rooftop public bath was clean and had a great view as well. The staff were polite and helpful, and the free shuttle made getting to and from the Kawaguchiko Station easier, even though the location is a bit farther from the Station. We also wandered through the garden, which was beautifully maintained. With the kaiseki dinner included, I felt the whole experience was really good value for money.

The experience of this hotel was on a level that cannot fully be written down. The garden was a wonderland of nature with small rest spots that make you feel like you're one with nature and Japanese culture. During our adventures in the garden I have found some time stop items that just bring human and nature together. The massage was an incredible experience making me feel like I was floating in a cloud. The facial experience brought the refreshing feeling of Mt. Fuji rejuvenating my skin. The dinner created a mixture of traditional Japanese culture with a modern twist creating a unique experience. Then came the performances of the power of the Japanese drums. This is where you can feel and hear culture together as one showing the power of Japan on their culture. The second performance of the violinists and pianoist was as elegant as Japan itself. The osens from private, public, and outdoor osen was a relaxing stay bringing the warmth of Japan. This memory with my girlfriend will be a memory I will never forget and cherish forever.

I had a wonderful stay with my young teenage daughter. It waas one of our most memorable experiences during our first visit to Japan. We loved our room - Asumi A Western Room with Open Air Bath and a view of the majestic Mt Fuji. The grounds were beautiful. Dinner was great and we loved dining in our room. Breakfast was ok. Staff was very friendly and the customer service was top notch. During our stay, my daughter accidentally left her rings in one of the bathrooms in our room and didn’t realize it until much later. To our surprise, the hotel contacted us, letting us know they had found the rings. Not only did they hold onto them safely, but they also went the extra mile and arranged to have the rings sent to the next hotel we were staying at. Their honesty, care, and willingness to help made a lasting impression on us. We already can't wait to return in December and experience their hospitality again. Highly recommend!

For people who wants to take bus to Fuji mountain, please check the schedule with the front desk. We did not check and found that the schedule was different from the website. You need to plan the shuttle well so that you don't miss the bus, or just take a taxi in order to take the bus. We ended up waiting for 45 minutes in the bus stop. It could be helpful for the hotel to print out the bus schedule for the guests, as English communication sometimes is slow and could discourage guests from asking questions. Otherwise, the stay was fantastic!
