Not the fun zone!

This place is good if you want crazy check in rules and very little hospitality. The room was good and clean but the vibe is ehhh!

We spent one night at the Banyan B&B, and had a very pleasant experience here. The host is very polite, friendly and helpful and gave us some more tips for our onward journey. The room and bathroom were clean and we have nothing to complain about. The garden with the impressive trees is like a fairytale forest. There are some good restaurants nearby and you can get to the airport very quickly. Many reviews here complain about the rules of the house, here is our opinion: the rules were certainly set for a good reason and the possibly corresponding experience. The check-in and check-out times are sufficient and are also communicated well before check-in, so that you can easily follow them. It is a B&B and not a large resort where you have a 24/7 check-in/-out and you have to be aware of that. We wholeheartedly recommend staying here.

Banyan House Samui B&B was the most uncomfortable stay I’ve ever had in all my travels.I was extremely stressed the entire time. Stayed 7 days; pre-paid or I would’ve left. Owner/manager took every opportunity to argue with the other guests/ twice actually yelling at 2 different guests. One time threatening to call police on guest. Also, complained multiple times about past guests and how he retaliated against them through Expedia. This is why I hesitated to give this review. Additionally, the place was clean but extremely rundown. Old, old towels and sheets. Smelly throw pillows on bed. Smelled like sweat Old broken bed. Expensive breakfast not included in price. House is on super noisy, busy road dangerous walking anywhere. Difficult to stay safe walking to nearby beach.

Sehr angenehmes B&B

Es war genau das richtige um auf der Insel anzukommen. Das Management ist sehr hilfsbereit und kann einem tolle Tips für Ausflüge, Shopping und die weitere Reise geben. Das Frühstück ist frisch, lecker und reichhaltig. Das Haus ist durchdacht und fühlt sich sehr familiär an. Wir kommen sicher wieder.

A great find at an unbeatable price.

We had to spend one night in Koh Samui and booked this hotel quickly from the airport. It was a great find; the house was beautifully presented and run by Tok and Michael, the two most welcoming and friendly hosts. They listened to our needs regarding restaurants etc and gave us good recommendations. A beautiful breakfast was served in the garden next morning and they ordered a taxi for us back to the airport. We would not hesitate to stay here in our next visit to Koh Samui.

Outstanding hospitality

We stayed for one night only and it was great, the hotel was next to the beach and 5 mins drive to the Center, they offered us to rent a motorbike with them which was very cheap and convenient, breakfast was very good and the house was super clean and cossy, we loved our time in there, definitely recommend it.

The staff is very unfriendly and has bed bugs

We stayed at the airport for a night and chose this hotel because it looked like it was a good score.but it was a bad experience. This hotel is actually a family hotel and it looks like no one lives, but the hotel told us that it must be 14:00 Check-in, so we went to eat first. When we returned, the westerner was extremely unfriendly and there were bed bugs.

A must stay place in Koh Samui!

We loves our stay here! The staff is amazingly service minded and helpful! They help you with honest motorbike rental, booking trips and shuttle. Location was nice and quiet, but you do hear the whistle from The guard across the road, but nothing that bothered us. The brakefast is simple and classic continental. We will definitely call me back here next time!

a nice enough stay.

We liked the feel of the place and it was quite relaxing. We didn't like the burning of leaves mid afternoon that would engulf the yard. Also I think the male owner could have been more hospitable, however all the other staff were nice. Complimentary water would have been a nice touch.

Nice bed and breakfast

Nice, clean and comfortable room in a charming environment. The staff is helpful and welcoming. The only down side to the place is that there is nothing around, so you have to walk on the road ( no sidewalks) at least 1,5 kilometers to find a restaurant. breakfast is served (only between 9:00 and 10:00) in the beautiful garden in front of the house.

環境不錯、離沙灘太遠、交通不便

環境清幽，位於離主街較遠位置，出入要搭車，很不方便，而且蘇梅車費不便宜，可以的話不建議住這裡。老闆也沒有其他人說的好，只在check in and check out有見過，基本很難見到人，想問問題也很難。還有所謂幾分鐘到沙灘，只不過是穿過一條本地人行走過的小路，到還沒開發的沙灘，不是查汶沙灘，也要坐車到主街才去到。

Peaceful, welcoming, just wonderful.

Feels like home....trusting, respecting, friendly and relaxed. The building, rooms and grounds are beautiful, so serene. The food is wonderful too, everything about Banyan House is wonderful.

I paid £12,50 a night for 2 people including breakfast. This is a very clean place. Rooms have AC, Sat TV, mini bar, crisps nuts, shampoo, shower gel, bath towels. The staff are great. It is out of town in a quiet area. They have a coffee shop with varied menu at a fair price.

Der Aufenthalt hat mir sehr gefallen. Zwar waren es nur zwei Nächte, doh ich habe mich in diesen Tagen sehr wohl gefühlt. Ein kleines gemütliches Häuschen. Die Besitzer kümmern sich herzlich um die Gäste. Was die Lage betrifft, so ist es ein wenig abseits von allem, doch die Motorbikes stehen überall zur Verfügung um die Insel zu erkunden. Der Flughafen ist nur 2-3 Fahrminuten entfernt.

Quaint Bed and Breakfast that meets your needs

A cute, pleasing to the eye little bed and breakfast. The cleanliness of the facility cannot be faulted and the little tea house provides excellent food both Thai and Western. There was 3 of us staying in 1 room and this was not ideal. The website may say it can fit up to 3 people but I wouldn't recommend it, unless you like sleeping on a mattress on the floor and having no walking space. The King Room was generous and once again clean, however the linen is old and needs replacing and the mattresses too. The shower left a lot to be desired but I think it was pretty standard for this type of facility at this price. Over all I felt I got value for money and everything I needed. If I was looking for somewhere decent and cheap to stay then I would definitely come here.
