The hotel is beautiful, we had the most incredible view from our room. The staff were lovely and very helpful, with the checki-in process being seamless. Our host, Phin, was easily contactable on the phone and helped me with things unrelated to our stay in the hotel. The only thing stopping me from giving the overall experience a 5 was the ongoing construction work. We were placed in a room right above it. It didn’t bother us in the slightest and we were aware of it beforehand from reading reviews but if you’re somebody who likes to stay in the room for parts of the day- it may bother you. Other than that, loved it. Would go back!

The Plantation is fantastic! The owners are available and are communicative. It is clean, and overlooks the beach and coconut trees. Sunsets are spectacular. We will be back!!

Lovely stay

We were very well looked after during our stay. Views amazing, spacious living area and very comfortable beds. Our host quickly responded to queries regarding transport and restaurant recs. Only downside is it's a steep walk back!

Fantastic stay at The Plantation. Stunning views and a feeling of seclusion. A little walk up the hill but not too arduous to afford you the elevated position.

Amazing views. Quiet location. Great privacy and great workout up the steps LOL. In my naivety I presumed that The Plantation had a pool so booked my accommodation without a pool but there is no general pool.

Highly recommend !!!!

Perfect! Amazing host(Phin),the room was excellent, and extremely clean, the ac and fans were more than adequate. Extra pillows were also provided after asking! The view and location were amazing, 1 minute via bike from the main areas, the walk to the room was honestly easy, despite the significant incline only few stairs were required for our room and the overall experience was amazing, with a few that was truly breathtaking. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! :)

The amazing view from the plunge pool and back porch was the highlight of this villa. Quiet, and peaceful and a lovely spot to enjoy a morning coffee or an evening swim. Comfortable beds and good AC in the bedrooms (but fan only in living area). 3rd bedroom was a detached 1-bed unit down some steps and without any kind of view, making it less suitable for families. Laundrette/tour bookings/scooter hire was right next door, so very handy. Closest beach is through the resort on the opposite side of the main road and brings you to the quiet end of Sairee beach, which we loved. Just be prepared for a very steep 10 minute uphill walk back to the villa! Overall the villa was nice, but needed a bit of maintenance and not quite as good as I had expected for the price and rating.

Very comfortable accommodation over looking Sairee Beach. Close enough to the buzz, but far enough away to feel a sense of privacy that you can escape to. I'd happily stay again and thoroughly recommend.

The Plantation is "up the hill" from the (more quite) north end of Sairee Beach (~5 min walk). Its a beautiful, modern and clean resort build into the hill side. We stayed in the pool villa and the view was "unbelievable". One of those places people usually only "dream about". 2 clean bedrooms, lots of electrical outlets (including on the patio, so working is possible everywhere). Internet speed was "intermittent", so video conferences were best held from the living room and not the bed rooms. Housekeeping was daily and (also the host) very friendly. Place is kept very clean. The villa is really "up the hill" and if stairs are a challenge this is not the right place. We like to walk and got everywhere on Sairee within ~30 min of walking. Many people rent bikes, but those are dangerous (especially on hills and when wet)... We leveraged "delivery services" a bit; especially the "French Kitchen" had great food, delivered to our patio ;) Best restaurant (view food combo) ever .) I hear the place is (pre-covid) booked out a year in advance and after staying for 9 days I can see "why". We would come back for sure.

Amazing property, location and management. Wit and the rest of the staff were so friendly, warm and hospitable. They genuinely care about your comfort and happiness during your stay. The views are incredible, and it is a great location, easy walk to Sairee Beach and lots of restaurants/bars and shops. Would absolutely stay there again, and recommend to anyone traveling to Koh Tao!!

Very nice visit

The Plantation is very new and modern apartment/ villa complex. It is just a walking distance from the Sairee beach with all of its bars and restaurants (I recommend using motorbike or taxi during evening/ night time). You also have very nice view to the sea from your balcony. It was really nice to make your own breakfast and enjoy it at balcony. There is everything you need in the apartment and everything worked. You don't really see staff except when checking in and checking out but you can call them any time if you need anything like booking a taxi etc. This works well. Location of the Plantation is a bit uphill so if you have problems with walking or moving around then this might not be the best place for you because the stairs and concrete path that leads to your room are quite steep. If I ever go to Koh Tao again I would definitely stay at The Plantation. I can also highly recommend The Plantation for other visitors

Highly recommended. Room was exactly as described and shown in pictures. Very clean, updated amenities, wonderful view, close and convenient to Sairee Beach. Robert was a kind and informative host. He paid for the taxi transfer to the hotel and gave us great insider tips for our stay in Koh Tao. A+++ I will stay here again if I go back to Koh Tao.
