"We had a fantastic time here. Our host greeted us upon arrival and asked if we would like to participate in an authentic tea ceremony. We got dressed in provided outfits, and the kids loved making matcha tea with the host. We loved the two levels, the indoor and outdoor baths, and the washing machine (kids use up a lot of clothes). "Wonderful place to stay, we loved that the area was in a real neighborhood and not touristy. The only complaint is the main bedroom faces a an alley that has a motion activated light that shines bright on and off all night while you are trying to sleep. Dark shade would help this situation. "

"The room smells like it has a bad drainage system. Once we enter the room and it smells like the toilet has been backed up. The fabric spray provided was useless. Attitude of staff were mixed, some discrimination were definitely present. Felt harrassed by the staff to settle the bill due to deciding to have extra guest in the room which we also had already decided to pay for. "

"Very clean. A modern take on a traditional Japanese home. Extra toiletries and refreshments make the stay extra special. An easy flat walk to the station. Internal stairs are narrow and a bit steep and care needs to be taken with younger children as toilet is downstairs. Lovely home."

"An amazing apartment. Located in the center of Kyoto. The Manager of the Hotel was very friendly and helpful. Assisted with many things- renting bikes, shipping luggage. Very service minded. A very quiet place in the evening. Highly recommended "

"We loved this hotel! The front desk was great and accommodating to a request I had. The drinks and coffee in the lobby was nice touch. The room is gorgeous and loved the tub! It’s in a great location also! Would definitely stay here again!"

"Front staff amazing ! Friendly and helpful ! Close to Kyoto station . Great room with fun bunkbeds but still giving space to relax after long hot humid days ! Added fun with the rent out of a chess board and massage device 😊. Enjoyed the barley tea for tea time !!! Recommend for families who want space and have teens . Added bonus of laundry on site . Thanks for some great memories !! Also the matcha cookies was a great incentive to an avoid unnecessary housekeeping 😉😊 delicious !!!!"

"Alles war perfekt, es ist ein wunderschönes traditionell japanisches Haus aber keines wegs altmodisch, im gegenteil sehr Modern, jeder Raum ist Klimatisiert und alle ist gut durchdacht. Einziger Negativpunkt ist der Check in, wir standen 20 Minuten vor der verschlossenen Tür weil wir den Code nicht bekommen haben und dann musste die Kyoto steuer erst noch bezahlt werden."

"Our kids and us love staying here. The staff was super easy to communicate with. All the check-in and checkout instructions were super detailed. We had a little miscommunication on checkout about where the key cards were and the online staff did they due diligence to make sure the keys were where I said I put them.
