"Great staff and property"

"The staff was great as was the food. We weren’t happy with the room design ( almost no storage, room was a little small, no where in the shower room to put clean clothes and keep them dry ) . We understand the staff couldn’t redesign the room ."

"This is a lovely hotel with very clean, comfortable rooms, an excellent Italian restaurant and very friendly staff, but despite the name, it is not very close to Kyoto Station by foot. It is located 600-800m away from the station. Additionally, Kyoto Station is not near the main sights in Kyoto such as the Gion - the Gion-Shijo Station on the Keihan Line and Kyoto-Kawaramachi Station on the Hankyu Line are much closer."

"My stay at the hotel was great. The room was nice and clean. It does show its age with a few scuff marks on the wall and furniture but nothing major. The location is right next to the train station which is incredibly convenient. There is unlimited matcha latte, sparkling water, espresso and coffee from the machines at the reception. The gym had a treadmill, indoor bikes, a bench, dumbbells and a foam roller."

"I cannot highly recommend this hotel enough. Staff are extremely kind and were able to answer any questions I had. The hotel is extremely clean and has excellent standards. There is more than enough amenities and it truly felt as if we were at a resort. "Clean room in a nice part of Kyoto. This hotel is a bit of a walk from Gion and the older parts of Kyoto but centrally located for shopping and restaurants. "

"pros: location was good, nearby bus and train station, room was nice and bathroom was modern, good water pressure. Good room soundproof, great air conditioner.
