Fantastic hotel. Staying at the Granbell Kyoto makes me only want to book at Granbell in the future. Can’t wait to check out other hotels from this chain. I genuinely felt at home. Staff was helpful and friendly and the place was beautiful.
Very clean and large room, modern, amenities were very useful and practical. One of our favourite parts of the hotel was the beautiful public bath, very clean and serene. Overall beautiful hotel!
Really great service and helpful staff. Room
Was clean and bed was super comfortable! Some great dining options around too - especially even just a few doors down!
Great location near Main Street but set back enough to be quiet. Room was very quiet. Super comfortable beds. Nice deep bathtub. Breakfast was fantastic- so much variety. To name just a few: miso soup, salmon, yogurt, eggs, pastries, fried rice, plain rice, make your own noodle soup, cereal, pickled cabbage, natto, bread. Only complaint was coffee wasn’t the best, and would have liked brewed tea instead of tea bags.
I would definitely stay here again. The location was perfect-- a short walk or train ride away from everything. The hotel itself was very clean and the staff was helpful.
A beautiful, clean and charming hotel. Our room was more spacious than other hotels in Japan and had a gorgeous design. The breakfast buffet was fantastic; such a wide variety of choice. Around the hotel were izakayas and other restaurants, and shops/markets were also closeby.
Location is very good, 1 min away from the main shopping street with all the good shops, especially for Wagashi. However, room was some kind of small “studio flat” -like with the bed stuck at the end, only accessible from the front. All in all, it was great, but room didn’t make me feel cosy enough.
