The room was spotless! The staff were very nice and helpful, great location just a 10-min walk from Nishiki Market. The hotel serves coffee and has a hydration all day long. Breakfast was also good. Highly recommend!

Our family stayed at Oakwood Hotel Oike Kyoto and it was lovely! The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff were helpful and accommodating, overall I would highly recommend anyone coming to Kyoto to stay here! :) I also had a little incident with the hair dryer and I told the staff when I was checking out. I told them to charge it to the room but they were not concerned about that, they asked me if I had burned myself. They were so thoughtful to this clumsy tourist!

Overall, we had a pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel. We were particularly satisfied with the location and our overall experience. There were just a few minor things that could be improved. As we had to get up very early each morning, it was quite inconvenient that the shower took a long time to provide hot water. Additionally, we received several messages with attachments through the booking platform before our arrival. Some of the additional benefits, such as late check-out, also seemed to be linked to joining the hotel’s membership programme, which we did not find particularly appealing. Despite these minor issues, we enjoyed our stay and would generally recommend the hotel.
