Very clean and modern, bed is uncomfortable

Very clean and modern but definitely on the small side. Ten minute walk to the main square. Four full flights of stairs to walk to room. Full bed didn’t fit my husband and I and you roll to the middle if not sleeping alone. Definitely bring towels as the shower water sprays into bathroom floor. They only provide one towel each however if you have time you can use the washing machine and drying rack.

Nice, quiet apartment with good location.

The apartment is located near a well stocked supermarket and only a short walk to the old town and castle. Trams and buses also run down the main roads just outside so very easy to get further afield. The river runs very close by and is very pleasant for a walk. There are a number of eating places nearby, with plenty more within the Jewish quarter and old town. Both are a 10-20 minute walk. Downsides to the apartment are the 4th floor location (no lift) and the shower attachment (no adjustment and angled back meaning that it's easy to spray the bathroom!). Other than that we had a comfortable stay and it was very quiet at night.

Das Appartement wurde zwei Tage vor Ankunft vom Vermieter geändert und uns wurde - im Winter - ein eiskaltes, bislang unbewohntes Appartement zugewiesen. Es dauerte 2 Tage bis 20 Grad erreicht waren, also bis zum Ende unserer Reise. Der Vermieter ersuchte uns sogar eine überzählige Decke an unser Nachbarappartement abzugeben, da diesen Gästen auch kalt war. Die Bereitschaft selbst Vorort zu erscheinen, eine Lösung (/Heizlüfter ect.) anzubieten oder sich zu entschuldigen war nicht vorhanden. Es tut uns leid, dass wir trotz einen sauberen, gut ausgestatteten Appartement in guter Lage, nur eine insgesamt sehr mangelhafte Bewertung abgeben können.

Be sure to look at facilities for YOUR apartment.

The company offers a wide variety of apartments. Some have lifts, others don't. Some have washers, others don't. Mine had neither, and I had not noticed this particular one didn't have the washer I was expecting. The duvet was not large enough for the bed. The location was about 20 minute walk from the center of Old Town, but there are a bus stop and tram stop only a block away. One bus can take you to the airport for only 3 euro so don't bother with a taxi or shuttle.

Slechte matrassen

Leuke ingericht maar de matrassen zijn zo slecht dat we allebei nu last van rugpijn hebben. De kamer stinkt omdat het een probleem heeft met water wat uit de badkamer zo de kamer instroomt en de houtenvloer verzadigt.

Had to make an appointment to pick up the key and the landlord was delayed by 15minutes. Bad small from the drain in the apartment. Bed was poor.

An alternative choice in Krakow

Late arrival to Krakow. Quite difficult to find the hotel location. Call the company to let them send a key to get in is a must. If no cell phone, please remember to call the hotel before arrival. The TV and lighting are not work properly. General speaking, it is a home like apartment and an alternative choice in Krakow.

Er is geen permanente receptie. Het appartement is in een verzamelgebouw op de zesde verdieping er is geen lift. Voor meer dan 2 personen is het wat klein. Ligging aan de rand van het centrum waar verder niet heelveel te doen is.

Avoid

We went to Krakow for a long weekend, and even though that weekend the whole city seemed completely booked, we found this La Gioia Apartments place for a reasonable price in a decent location. Unfortunately, as we pretty soon found out, the whole building seems to be completely moldy - we slept there for one night and woke up feeling really bad; went to Zakopane, felt fine; after coming back just 2 hours in the room was enough to make it hard to breathe. A nice place, but absolutely uninhabitable. When I emailed the company about us leaving early because of this I received no response whatsoever. Now I'm not saying that all their locations are like this, but avoid the ul. Syrokomli location at all cost. Also, not impressed by the service.

Good apartment hotel near Wawel royal castle

It was quite nice overall except that it was on the fifth floor (from counting 1 on the ground) without elevator. However, it was also not that bad since we can work out every time we come in and go out of the apartment. The best ting is that it is not that far from Wawel and Vistular river and the scenery of the river and the castle is fantastic. I believe you love Krakow there~

A Rynektől gyalog kb 10 percnyire levő épület 4. emeletén 2 személynek kényelmes, teljesen felszerelt apartman kivàló azoknak akik szívesen készítenek maguknak reggelit illetve helyben vàsàrolt alapanyagokból esetleg egyszerű ebédet vagy vacsoràt. Wifi ingyenes. A szobàhoz való hozzàjutàs, adminisztràció gyors és egyszerű. A hàz bejàratàtól fél percnyire villamos megàlló van ahonnan közvetlenül a belvàrosba lehet jutni. Az épület utcàjàban ingyen lehet parkolni. Ár érték arànya jó!

This is not a hotel. This is an apartment with no support after you check in. It is a 4 story walkup with over 80 stairs. The only window is on to a balcony which you share with neighboring apartments. No privacy. The curtain broke the first time we used it and then there was precious little privacy. When people in adjoining apartment had a party, their noise easily carried to our apartment and was quite disturbing.

Nice appartment, good service with shuttle from the airport to the city. Very friendly and helpful stafff. Since this is not an hotel arranging things like taxis was a bit hard however the old fashion waving a taxi in at the side of the street works very well in Krakow. Recommended.

Huoneisto sijaitsi normaali kerrostalossa neljännessä kerroksessa, jossa ei ollut hissiä. Siisti, modernisti remontoitu, täysin varusteltu. Avain tultiin luovuttamaan suoraan asuntoon puhelinsoiton jälkeen. Sijainti rauhallinen, bussipysäkki ihan lähellä. Hintalaatusuhde ok.

Tämä ei ollutkaan varsinainen hotelli

Kyseessä ei ollut varsinainen hotelli, vaan kerrostalon huoneisto viidennessä kerroksessa ilman hissiä. Onneksi otimme tarjotun kuljetuksen lentokentältä, koska mitään hotellikylttiä ei talossa ollut, jota olisimme pimeässä etsineet. Tulimme paikalle klo 22.30. Respaa ei ollut, ainoastaan puhelinnumero, josta olisi voinut kysyä lisätietoja. Tuloiltana huoneen meille esitteli joku nainen ja häneltä saimme myös avaimet. Meidän piti maksaa paikanpäällä lisähintaa, koska lentomme tuli niin myöhään. Lähtöpäivänä veimme matkalaukun n. 300 metrin päähän jonkin kerrostalon aulaan, jossa sitä väijyi aulavahtimestari. Tämä järjestyi, kun kyselin asian perään, koska meidän paluulento oli vasta illalla. Käytimme majapaikkaa lähinnä nukkumiseen ja siihen puitteet olivat hyvät ja asialliset.

quiet place to retreat after playing tourist

I was not sure how to get to the room when we got there, but that was my fault because they emailed me the day before and I did not check. But one phone call and they were there within a few minutes to let us in and make sure the room was ready for us. I found the hike up the stairs to be good after sampling all of the great Polish food and needed to work of some calories. the room was only about a 10 minute walk from the main square but was far enough away to get away from the crowds. Just across the street is the river with lots of paths and green area, and I noticed several boat restaurants. If by car the parking is on the street or they offered private parking about a block away for a small fee. We used the street parking with no issues. The room was clean and comfortable with a kitchen, counter/bar area to eat. The beds were the only issue but I having traveled around Europe find the mattress to be a little thin for my tastes but have gotten used to them. The area is very quiet and a grocery store is a block away if you decide to cook. There is cable TV and baths were very clean and modern.

Solid place to stay - not a hotel

This is more of an apartment rented out as a hotel, but it works. It's quite modern but not brand new. No elevator makes the 4 floor trek a bit of a pain but unless you're ridiculously out of shape, that's not a real problem.
