"Great place. It was even better than we expected!"

"家内が街を散策中に転倒して骨折しましたが、スタッフの皆さんが救急病院に連絡を取ったり、冷やすための氷や車椅子など準備してくれたりして非常に親切にして頂きました。朝食時も皆さんからお声がけくださり、大変でしたが気持ちよく過ごすことができました。怪我が回復したら再度泊りに行きたいと思います。"

"We really enjoyed our short stay and it was totally worth it to stay in Arashiyama and enjoy the area before the crowds roll in. Traditional breakfast is as awesome and we booked the private onsen which was great."

"お部屋もいい雰囲気で素敵でした。しかしながら、外に出てみると、天井に蜘蛛の巣があったり、外のソファの布が、古いのか座りたくない感じがあり、そこは残念でした。"

"Great for solo travelers with a car. The covered parking is convenient and the staff was polite."

"Our room was clean and spacious. Finding it was a challenge for the local cab driver. The breakfast was just breads but I enjoyed the mugwort rolls! I’d recommend that they add a washer/dryer to some rooms. Also, the sleeping clothes were a little worn. Mine was missing an important button. The staff were friendly but it could be hard to communicate with them over the phone."

"ohhh My GOD .....far ....far... awayyy...bad location....very ...very...bad....expensive... not worth it"

"We stayed in Room number one. It was incredible. It was such a wonderful experience to stay in a historic building that had modern amenities and a lot of space. The room decorations and sliding doors were beautiful. The living room overlooks the garden. Everything was clean. It was nice to have the communal food area to grab coffee in the morning and a light meal. Be aware that the room entrance for the room is right next to the lobby. There are stairs to climb to get up to the room. We will...

"Loved our stay here. Staff knew enough english for us to get things we needed. The 5 private onsens are fantastic although first come first serve. We went twice in our one day/night stay and found 3pm and 6am to be no wait. Dinner and breakfast were well worth the value and loved the entire vibe/decor of the space. Located right off the train exit was a welcome convenience as well"

"Beautiful place. Clean rooms. The friendly staff and are very helpful. Definitely one hotel to book with."

"Very nice Ryokan! Slightly removed from the core but there are 2 buses that regularly go into town so its not a huge issue. We stayed in the private room on the lower floor with the private zen garden, highly recommend if its available as it was amazing for late night drinks, and the sounds of night and the river that runs beside the ryokan. A must stay for a traditional experience! One Laundry + dryer on site for a small charge (plus you need to buy a detergent packet from the front desk,...

"Location is next to aeon mall"

"Lovely place to stay in an area of Kyoto that’s close to a few large, beautiful shrines. Really great room complemented by a wonderful, helpful staff. Would love to stay here again!"

"Beautiful property and great location"

"ホットドッグもうまかった！"

"Staff are very helpful with whatever you need. Also the coffee machine they have in the lobby is pretty cool."
