"I stayed in room for 4 people, 2 twin beds and 2 futon beds. Room is spacious for japanese standard and beautifully decorated. Convenience store just next to the hotel building. Walkable distance to popular Gion, Kiyomizu dera and Kodaiji temple. Everything is excellent. Thank you Minn Gion."

"We loved this hotel! The front desk was great and accommodating to a request I had. The drinks and coffee in the lobby was nice touch. The room is gorgeous and loved the tub! It’s in a great location also! Would definitely stay here again!"

"This was a charming little place very close to the river, restaurants and shopping and just a short walk to the subway. Check-in was easy, staff was nice and the rooms were well-designed, cozy and clean. The price was very reasonable and we would definitely return. "

"This was a very central location to be based. Literally a few metres from a main area with lots of food and restaurant choices, 5-10 mins walk to the Geisha area, and about a 10 minutes walk to Kymiozu temple and a shopping street offering further food and restaurant choices as well as souvenirs. There were local buses available all along the street from the hotel and everywhere was easily accessed. The hotel itself was clean and beds were very comfortable. Would recommend it as an ideal...

"Our kids and us love staying here. The staff was super easy to communicate with. All the check-in and checkout instructions were super detailed. We had a little miscommunication on checkout about where the key cards were and the online staff did they due diligence to make sure the keys were where I said I put them. "Loved it, felt like a real local. Washer was a plus and included detergent! Fast responses and overall a great stay :) 9.8/10 a little bit dusty specifically the top of air conditioner but hey, it’s an older place, it was expected and part of the vibe. Recommend if you want to stay in a more traditional place hence the name of the place. "
