We really enjoyed our stay. It is perfect for a family. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Liked having the laundry facility on site however, the dryers are not too good. Place is really close to seven eleven and Lawsons. So close to Kyoto station. Overall, I would really recommend this place for people in big groups or family.

Great place very close to Kyoto station which made it super easy when arriving and easy to do tours. Staff friendly and helpful. Communal laundry at ground level. We packed light and used that!

Outstanding!! A must stay.
We recently stayed at Mimaru Kyoto Station and it was one of our most pleasant experiences while vacationing in a foreign country. While the hotel room itself was great, the highlight was the high quality staff at Mimaru. We had the pleasure of interfacing with several staff but want to specifically recognize Yuko, Maya, Anh and Mac for helping us make our visit to Kyoto memorable. They provided us with recommendations on places to seein Kyoto, restaurants, shopping and transportation options to make the visit easy. All staffers were fluent in English which was a big help. We spent 2 days at Yumotokan in Otsu and because they were unable to communicate in English, the Mimaru Staff helped us by talking to the Yumotokan staff. Our appreciation for the Mimaru staff increased significantly when we moved to Tokyu Stay in Tokyo where unfortunately, the staff neither could help with any tourism information, nor could they communicate in English. Additionally, Tommaso from Mimaru Kyoto helped us understand how New Years Eve was celebrated in Tokyo. 2024 started with unfortunate incidents in Japan with the earthquake in the Kanazawa area and the plane accident. We were scheduled to visit Kanazawa right after the earthquake hit and it was very gracious on Maya's part to check on us to make sure that we were safe. This was well after we had checked out of Mimaru and this gesture is testament to the nature of the Mimaru staff. We will recommend Mimaru Kyoto Station to all our friends.

The staff are very helpful and friendly and can communicate in English very well. We are a family of 4 with 2 kids. The room is spacious with a dining area and all necessary utensils. Very ideal for family after a tired long walk and just want to chill in the room with take-away.

Great spot for a family in Kyoto
Nice sized rooms for a family, great staff, and really great for the kids. They had a "Bingo" check list, where as the kids visit or complete an experience ("Try gyoza," "Visit the Train Museum," etc.), and they complete a row, they would be able to get a gacha from the mini-vending machine. It's also a block from the Kyoto Train Station and within walking distance from restaurants, coffee, desserts, and shopping.

Recently stayed 5 nights at this fantastic apartment. The staff were outstanding, with great English and a very friendly manner. The check in/check out was quick and they held our luggage before the 3pm check in with no hassle. The room was outstanding. Comfy beds and pillows, great amenities, and fantastic water pressure in the shower. A very short walk to Kyoto station makes this apartment a dream hotel. Good laundry facilities, and they had an iron and ironing board to lend when needed. I can’t speak highly enough of this hotel and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Outstanding.
