Ryokan di Kyoto

"I like the Gion area around this hotel. There is a famous shrine nearby and a charming shopping district around the corner. The futons are comfy and the room doesn't feel cramped. The staff is super nice and helpful. We liked this place so much this is our second stay there. "

"Ich wollte unbedingt einmal in einem Ryokan übernachten und habe mich deshalb für diese Unterkunft entschieden. die Unterkunft an sich ist sehr schön. Die Nacht war dann doch etwas anstrengend auf dem Futon. Später hab ich mir aber einen zweiten aus dem Schrank darunter gelegt. Die Gegend würde ich als sehr ruhig beschreiben. Man muss mindestens einmal Bus und Zug fahren, um direkt nach Kyoto zu kommen. Aber dennoch kann ich sagen, ein Aufenthalt in diesem Ryokan lohnt sich durchaus."

"On our recent trip to Japan we wanted an authentic experience staying in a ryokan. We were greeted by an extremely attentive staff who whisked our luggage away to our mountain view room. We received hotel slippers and were given a tour of the hotel. Our modest room had a low table and chairs with a tea service, a private bathroom, tatami mat floor and yukata robes. We had 3 hours until dinner so we enjoyed the private onsen nestled in the forest overlooking the forest. For ¥4000 ($27) this...

"Overall, it was a wonderful stay for us at the traditional Ryokan! The staff and service were amazing; whenever we had an issue they fixed it within minutes. We enjoyed the authentic Kaiseki dinner and breakfast. Would highly recommend it to anyone traveling near Kyoto!"

"This property, the owners and the staff were all wonderful. Try the traditional breakfast, it is a must do. The property is charming, the size of the room is a great value and everything is clean and orderly. The location is superior, close to Nishiki Market, high end shopping and only about a 10 minute walk to public transportation. Many good food choices close by from small authentic restaurants to the many food stalls in Nishiki Market Taxis as very reasonable in Kyoto, so feel free to use...
