"We stayed in a two-bedroom suite at Gara Suites. The hotel offers good value for money, but overall I feel it is closer to a 3-star hotel than the 4 stars it advertises. The suite was spacious, but it only had one bathroom. The room description also stated a golf course view, but our balcony overlooked a construction site. "The hotel was good, clean, staff friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was very good and rooms were sound proof and with good air conditioning. Pool were clean but small. At times they felt a bit crowded but most of the time were good in June. I imagine that July and August they would be crowder. Amenities like the Club for VIP were expensive €15 per drink! the same as the spa services. The restaurant Suena Chibo served us the worst rump stakes we ever ate at €26 per piece. "We’ve been staying at the Santa Barbara for many years, and have written about it before. It’s still a lovely place to stay if you want the freedom of an apartment and don’t want to be too close to the main resorts.
