Fortuna Retreat is a beautiful boutique hotel – we were greeted when we arrived and shown around the property. Our room was very nice with a spectacular view of Arenal Volcano. The grounds were amazing, lush and verdant. The breakfast was at a nearby (short walk) restaurant and was delicious. We were extremely pleased with our stay and highly recommend this place.

Wonderful hotel off the beaten track to unwind and view the volcano. Lush landscaping created privacy and brought nature "inside". The bathroom was amazing! The staff were awesome and had great recommendations. They were very helpful setting up a tour.

Beautiful room, friendly and helpful staff. The room has a beautiful plunge pool, air con, app based TV and coffee making facilities; no tea. The main pool is small but lovely; no onsite bar or restaurant. Breakfast; a short walk away in a neighbouring ecolodge is fresh and tasty but limited in choice. We w Oils stay again.

Great location. Beautiful tropical gardens and view to the mountains. Quite, yet only 15 min walk to a small settlement with restaurants (on a pavement). There is a corner shop 150m away and a lovely little soda/restaurant less then 200m away.

Great location. Breakfast at Arenal Oasis whilst birdwatching was a treat. Bathroom doesn’t have an extractor so it got very humid. In room safe didn’t work. Private sitting area with the plunge pool was lovely for cooling down.

Our stay at Fortuna Retreat was absolutely AMAZING! It truly was "Retreat-style" as it was peaceful, rejuvenating, and wonderfully private.The property is beautifully designed, with natural plants throughout the landscape creating calm, relaxing atmosphere. Our room was spotless, had comfortable bed and a gorgeous view. The staff is wonderful! They coordinated all of our tours, and each one was executed perfectly. Breakfast was delicious and the outside dining area was full of wildlife. One of my favorite stays ever—highly recommended!
