"This motel was a total surprise! We wanted a cheap motel and knew that we could live with whatever we found. This motel could really improve its business with a bit of remodeling and cleaning of the outside. It looks shabby from the road. However, it was great on the inside. The breakfast area and hallway were very clean. Our room was huge and so clean! The beds were comfortable. The bathroom seemed new, and we lacked for nothing -- an iron, an ironing board, a new toilet, sink, and...

"We were very pleased with the hotel. Everything was clean. It looked very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. There was a variety to choose from. We liked the options available. There were hot items and well as cold. I would stay here again. It is close to downtown Galena. We didn't get to use the pool, we ran out of time but it looked nice. The hot tub was large. The slide looked fun. Overall a good value. I would recommend the hotel. "

"The one thing I will caution future guests about is breakfast. It’s one menu selection (there is no menu to choose from) for everyone every morning. So if you’re a picky eater or have lots of food sensitivities, this could be a real hassle. It is served in your room only, and delivery runs a bit on island time. So if you have timed plans in the morning, make sure to give yourself an extra half hour buffer to account for possible breakfast delays. Other than that, I had an absolutely fabulous...
