"We met with the kindest hosts ever. Elisa and Simone are the best. Staying in their guest house is like staying home. Very convenient location, nice neighborhood with lots of shopping and dining options. We would love to come back. "
"It’s great location if you want to visit Cinque Terre. The ferry terminal is walkable distance and the train station is not far away. You can park your car in the train station for free. The host is very friendly and helpful, he provided us good suggestions. We had great time there and Cinque Terre."

Lovely place to walk around given the stunning architecture. The castle is a worthwhile visit for the views and I enjoyed a stroll around the seafront, too. Also has some fantastic seafood around the place!

We stayed in La Spezia for a single night as a stop to do Cinque Terre the next day. The old town is nice and alive in the evening. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. A nice walk to the harbor.

Better to stay in La Spezia than any of the Cinque cities, as can be very crowded. Easy to move around. No regrets.

Unique city scene - living on the hills and moving among winding roads.
"My wife and I ended up extending our stay here by another 3 nights. Great location - very walkable to the main part of town. The AC kept us cool and the manager was very easy to work with! Highly recommend!"
