"The hotel has a wonderful location and very helpful staff. They have thoughtful amenities like lounge with fireplace, hot drinks and a pool table. This hotel is a series of 4 connected buildings with some stairs but no one explained this ( we are an older couple). Avoid lower floor, front rooms due to street noise ( daytime construction, noisy groups exiting a bar nearby)"

"The property is beautiful. The self parking garage is small...6ft..so if you have a larger vehicle your only other option is valet which is expensive...$60 a day. The room is lovely and quite possibly the most comfortable bed and pillows I have ever slept in. That being said, our room didn't get cleaned until nearly 4pm and they didn't take the trash and only left 2 towels for 4 people. The biggest problem we had was a large group of people with multiple children who ran rampant in the hotel. We went for drinks and dinner and to watch the hockey game and they were in the bar area and the children were running everywhere, sitting at all the clean tables, yelling and going in and out if the pool area into the bar leaving water everywhere. The waiter was nearly taken out a half a dozen times..the parents were at two different tables drinking paying no attention to the children's behavior. The bigger issu3 was the wait staff could not wait on any other customers because the two tables would call them over and request different services. We had one drink and waited almost 2 hours for a small pizza (which was wrong) and the waiter never came back for anything else...no dinner order no other drinks and no dessert. We did try to go to the bar numerous times for assistance but were told he'd be right over but never arrived. We also stopped at the front desk about the encounter and was told the manager would call our room but that too never happened."

"Our room, although had a king size bed was very sparse. The view was awful. The bathroom was large. However the sink would not drain & the access to the toilet roll was not convenient for use. The floor in the bathroom was very tacky for all footwear. We had heard that there to be a bike race on the Sunday & we had been advised by others not staying at hotel that Sunday exiting of hotel would be problematic. When front desk was asked about it both the night before & on Sunday am they were uninformed. Of this major event. A notice posted by the hotel re alternate routes would have been appropriate & useful."
