It was almost impossible to hear above the air conditioning. No tissue in the room, no pad/pen, shower head was poor, breakfast was poor."

"Looks like they had the grand opening too soon. Rehab doesn’t seem complete. Lights and TV haphazardly hung on walls. Plugs not connected. There is not a single hook for a towel or travel kit in bathroom. AC is still an original wall unit and is incredibly loud. Overall, an average hotel at best."

"Very close to casinos. Only 2 rooms avail in 1st floor due to renovations. No USB port avail in any room. You must buy the breakfast. Toilet paper holder hard to reach."

"The air condition in my room was leaking on the carpet. I could smell the mildew when I walked in but the air freshener the hotel staff used covered it up the first couple of hours."

"Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel was very disappointing. From the moment we walked into the room, there was a very strong animal odor, and the room did not feel clean or well maintained. Although we understood we were assigned to a pet-designated room, that should not mean the room smells overwhelmingly of animals. "Good breakfast....easy parking "

"Ac was excellent and I slept like a baby!! Pool room is a little slippery and hold water instead of draining in the drain, so definitely need to watch walking in there. Other than that, it was great. I forgot my pillow. I called them and they put it in storage for me"

"The room was nice and basic but had everything we needed for 1 night. Clean and no smells. The breakfast was good, they are in the mist of changing to grab and go as signage was posted, but had more than enough for a good start for our busy day. The staff of girls were polite and friendly. Would stay again if in Jennings in the future for another convention."

"Our stay at Tru by Hilton Lake Charles was such a pleasant experience. The hotel was very clean, the breakfast buffet was good, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Great parking space and convenient. It made our anniversary getaway even more comfortable and enjoyable while we soaked in that beautiful bayou view. I definitely recommend this location and don’t always go by negative reviews, pray about it and see for yourself."
