"Silver Surf Motel was okay for a short stay, but a bit underwhelming overall. My room appeared to have been recently renovated, and the décor and finishes were tasteful. I was disappointed, however, that the room did not have a tub. The mattress was also softer than I prefer, and I woke up with a minor backache. The property itself could really use some updating. Outside areas looked neglected and dated, and the walls were paper-thin — I could easily hear noise from neighboring rooms and people...

"We loved the rusty feeling of a lodge but still with modern amenities and clean rooms and bathrooms. The staff was friendly, and accomodating. The place itself was a nice location central to alot of places, like the beach, the forest, and famous sites. It was quiet at night, too. The music in the restaurant wa also great."

"The hotel is very nice (at first glance) a clean well appointed lobby. The room is large and appears very clean at first glance. When we crawled into bed at night we found two HUGE ugly stains on the top sheet... clearly bodily fluid. The sheets were clean but stained so staff put them on that way (so gross). Staff brought us new linens and we remade the bed. The nighttime staff was very apologetic and nice. Needless to say I did not sleep well. The sheets overall were poor quality, thin...

"Love everything about the J Patrick Inn. It feels like home. As you enter there is a warm and cozy area with a coffee maker, coffee pods, a variety of tea choices, oatmeal packets and cookies. Each room is unique, immaculately clean,and cozy with all necessary amenities: coffee maker, water in the refrigerator, a king size bed, a lovely fireplace & a giant TV with access to Hulu & Netflix. There is even a wonderful house cat that is often outside as you check in. It is also easy to check in &...

"The staff was exceptionally welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was exceptional. The building we stayed in was old. We live in an 120 year old home but this seemed much older. Our room, especially the bathroom, was small. Be aware the stairwell is steep and narrow which may not be an issue if you do not have to carry large or heavy bags to your room. "
