"The location was as good as it gets: you can see Main Street in Lake Placid. It’s a 2-5 minute walk. Also a 2-5 minute walk to the Mirror Lake trail (2.8 mile loop). The view from the room was gorgeous. The pool was 80 degrees and the hot tub 100. The pool had a 9.5ft depth on one end and was the biggest pool we’ve seen at a hotel. "Loved the room, and having the Keurig right there was a bonus. Did not love the loud women having a conversation in the hall at 9:30 P.M. (one of whom may have been an employee, from what I could tell). Quiet time hours might be a good idea. I'm guessing I'm not the only one trying to get to sleep for an early hike in the morning."

"parking was horrible, contractors were doing asphalt work during my stay, it was hard to find a spot, and when u did, you couldn't park there, it was like musical parking, spot to spot, breakfast was good, the room air-conditioning was loud when on, I have been in better Hampton inn and less the price"

"John was kind enough to bring me a fan so temperature was cool at night. I saw many of the rooms that I would have preferred over mine. Great location for doing lots of exploration and very quiet, which I appreciated. I did not care for the basement kitchen area but I used it anyway. I booked through Expedia and found their cost high."
