I called to confirm and was told the cabins were closed after I booked. So I did not get a cabin. I was surprised because when we drove to lake Chicot on Saturday cabins were being used. I was very disappointed. My boyfriend and I had to rent a hotel room instead.

Bad Experience

Check in was delayed 45 minutes because room wasn't clean yet. It was about 5:30. Upon getting into the room I discovered there was no blanket on the bed. They did bring one promptly. The next morning discovered no wash cloths, hand towels and shower towels only. Water pressure was terrible. Mattress was old.

They lied said the cottage I had rented had flooded but was people staying in it tried to give me a twin bed cottage we didn’t stay went elsewhere the owner was rude rude also when I called him out on it

The customer service was great, and so was the food at the restaurant. The property is in a good location and space inside the cottage was accommodating. I do suggest to the owner that you air out the cottages. The cottage had an unpleasant odor inside. The living room furniture should also be cleaned. The bedroom quilts/coverlets need to be replaced. They look worn out. When you own property it should be kept up. The grass needed to be cut. Maintenance is very important. If you are going to invest in property especially where you are charging customers as an owner it’s a good idea to put money back into your investment by maintaining the inside and outside of the property. I also advise the owner to make sure the maid does a thorough cleaning job. The bathroom had hair left from I assume the previous guest inside the shower. No guest wants to see that in any room they are staying in and definitely not the shower where they are bathing. Thank goodness I never leave home unprepared so I was able to clean up things to my liking. My last suggestion would be to hire regular pest control to keep the cottages sprayed each month. I know being by the lake will bring in little critters, but regular pest control will go a long way.

We arrived at 8:30 at night and went to our cabin. When we opened the door hot air came rolling out. The air conditioning was not on at all and it was 95 degrees. No way to get it cooled off in time for sleep. The actual cabin would have worked great except for the heat. They attempted another cabin but it was the same way. They did refund our money.

The cottages are clean,very quite, nicely decorated and a great price for what u get. Theres a restaurant on groungs with out of this world food. Just all around around great place to stay

Best stopping point on our route

This place was amazing. Cottages were way cozier and roomier than any 5 star hotel. The price was not bad at all considering it was the size of a small apartment. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. We travel with a 30ft trailer and one of the guys generously helped park it without hesitation. It is so hard to find a place that accommodate our truck and trailer while traveling. We will definitely make this our stopping point when traveling to and from Mississippi to Colorado. Thank you guys for being so friendly at closing time!

Bad Experience

We approached the manager about our room because the television would not change channels and we didn't have hot water which he sent maintenance to get the hot water working around 11 pm so we asked for a refund and the manager acted as if we should pay $100 a night with these type of issues but after we wouldn't let it go they said they would give us a partial refund and then they changed their story after wr checked out and they stopped answering our calls. Its a decent place to stay on the water but its NOT $100 a night nice for the service and comfort you expect.

We were visiting family so this location was convenient to the area of Mississippi and Arkansas. Dislike the sewer pipes were next to the bathroom and when the toilet was flushed the hallway, bathroom and back bedroom stink so bad it was overwhelming disgusting! Also, saw a couple of roaches so our bags went upon high surfaces. The bed sheets were clean but had some many worn balls on them it was not smooth feeling. The bed made so much noise I was so disappointed. The inside living room area need leather like sofa because the sofa were so worn until I was afraid to seat on them just was disgusting. A lot of my family members would stay at this location when visiting family but this would definitely be a last result for me again.

Disgustingly dirty for what I thought might be a quaint cottage. It is more like a fisherman’s cottage. The furniture had what looked like dog hair on it, crown molding was broken on the ceiling, dirt around the baseboards, several wood screws on the floor, carpet in bedroom was dirty and rumpled. We were happy the bedding was clean and the pillows were soft. The location is quiet and the lady at check-in was nice.

The cottages were unique. They are basic cottages. Not worth 100.00. Hard to locate as GPS on Orbitz did not take you to their address. Bed was old and the pillows did not have pillow cases on them. Perhaps cleaning crew forgot.

Quaint, safe, great views. Out of the way just far enough to be a quiet place, but still close enough to town if needed. Much more enjoyable than staying in a hotel room.

Like how quiet and the view was beautiful. The employees were super amazing. Only thing I did not like is the bed is not a comfortable bed at all. If you want peace and quiet this is the place because you get absolutely very limited cell service. Will be back :)
