"Mold all throughout the shower. Run by a bunch of teenagers who are never at the front desk. Extremely damp towels folded in our rooms and when asked for dry ones they replied the dryer is broken. A staff member entered our room without knocking while we were in bed saying they were here to fix our safe that we never asked to fix. We left a night early because we felt extremely unsafe. Would absolutely not recommend for families. Photos must have been taken years ago. False advertisement."

"As soon as I walked into my room, I could tell it had not been cleaned. Floors had dirt all over, and what looked like coffee spills on the floor that would have simply come off with an easy sweep and mop, which had clearly not have been done. The bathrooms were at best, tidy. Bathtub and toilet were dirty and hadn't been wiped or cleaned, as well as garbage was still in the garbage can. I left immediately, and when I called to ask for some sort of partial refund, all they could do was offer me...

"Fantastic stay!! Amazing value. By contrast I have since moved on to a new property state-side that is costing me nearly twice as much and is half as nice. The Sarnia Comfort Inn was terrific. So clean. Comfy bed. Quiet. Such kind and friendly staff. I can't comment on breakfast because it was served too early for me. Ending by 9:00 for someone on holiday was a bit much but I think they cater to a lot of working folk who are up and gone first thing. I didn't care as I am not a big breakfast...

"This isn't like staying at any regular hotel. Didn't see staff at all, in our 5 day stay it was like we had the entire place to ourselves. This was our 2nd time there and we were very pleased with the room and the quiet atmosphere. Very quaint inn and worth a few inconveniences (stairs, no room or maid service) for the unique experience. The rooms are elegant and very cozy. "The staff was great: Mark at the front desk was friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and renovated. The location of the motel is noisy when you’re outside but fine in the room. The restaurant was convenient and the food was good. Service was very good. We didn’t use the pool as it wasn’t very inviting after I had a chance to swim in the lake. The place was very quiet."
