We didn't have breakfast as we thought £15pp was expensive when you can get it for less in town. We stayed on the 2nd floor and wish we had a top floor room the noise from other residents is deafening. Doors slamming and hearing other people's bathroom water running interrupted our sleep. "The stay at the park in was ok. The curtains in the room were insufficient. With daylight at 4am, the whole room was lit up and made it hard to sleep. I was going to bring up this issue at check out, but was not even asked how my stay was. See attached photos at 4am."

"Easy to find, parking easy, good location. We went out at 2am to watch the World Cup. Reception 24hours so easy to access at all hours. Would absolutely stay again."

"Showing signs of wear and tear. Very poor parking facilities with very hefty charges! When someone parked next to me I could not get in the drivers door. A lot of exterior noise from 6.00am. I was maybe unlucky with situation of room. Bed was comfortable and breakfast adequate. Better options in Aberdeen."

"The Mercure is an older and I suspect much grander hotel at one time. It has a sense of opulence about it with wide staircases, high ceilings and stained glass windows, however there are also signs of aging, i.e. worn carpets, old windows. I think it adds to the charm. The breakfast staff were very attentive and pleasant. Breakfast was typical fare, with adequate choices available. My room was well appointed and the bed comfortable. My only complaint was noise made by the fire door slamming...

"Horrible Hotel, my single bed room was very small. It faced the busy street. Loud vehicle noise. The walls are paper thin. I could hear everything from the room next to me. There is no front desk and I didn't see any employees during my three night stay. Key code to open the hotel front door. Once inside use your Key code to open the lock box and get your room key."

"Nearly broke something slipping in the bath and falling on the bathroom floor. It does state that a mat should be used, but there was not one present. Told staff. Place is old and run down. I would give 2 star. Also, walls are paper thin, and was awoken many times during my two night stay by someone snoring - somewhere. Try to get an upper floor room, or you’ll hear people walking above you. Windows covered in Seagull sh*te. Plus was Netflix and a real Bath - but dangerously slippy if without...

"A nice independent hotel in a great central location. Opposite the bus station and Union Square shopping centre and very close to the rail station. Also within walking distance of many shops, restaurants/bars and attractions. The hotel is on a main road and if you are a light sleeper then this may mean it a bit too noisy for you. The room and hotel in general were very clean. The room was spacious as was the bathroom, both of which were very clean. The only criticism I had was the squeaky...
