"I've stayed at other Extended Stay locations in the past that I would return to. Can't say that about this location. Room was tired, and smelled like smoke (even though it was non-smoking), had cigarette burns on the counter top, and stains in the bathtub. Door locks had seen better days, and there was graffiti on the exterior stairs. Staff was very helpful when I arrived after the office had closed, but 10 PM seems really early for a check-in desk to close, and I had to call on an outside phone...

"We were assigned a dirty, foul smelling room with filthy carpeting and all 4 lampshades ripped looking like a frat party had just occurred. The smell was horrendous. We were reassigned to a better room but continued to be disappointed due to guest behavior. Loud talking in hallways with doors slamming throughout each night with upset and crying children. Coffee and breakfast were subpar to other recent LA Quinta stays in the west. Very disappointed."

"The Motel 6 was in transition (was previously a Quality Inn). The registration system was not completely integrated, so we were given keys to a room with occupants already there--which was a shock to both the occupants and us. The receptionist was quick to remedy this, but it left a sour taste. There was no shampoo in the bathroom and no coffee grinds for the in room coffee machine. Management and housekeeping had no coffee pods available."

"Was disappointed with the breakfast. Every morning they were out of different things, sausages, eggs, coffee, fruit, yogurt. Not enough tables for everyone to eat. Also it would be courteous if the cleaning staff would let customers on the elevator first and not have to either wait for an empty one or have to squeeze in with their carts."

"We had a wonderful time staying here for my daughter’s graduation from DU. The staff was lovely especially Brent Zorensky, the restaurant manager. He handled our large (crazy) party of 11 with a lot of humor and grace. Really made the experience wonderful. Thank you to everyone at the Hyatt!"

However, some of the challenges that come with a newly opened property affected our stay. We stayed for nearly a week and did not receive housekeeping service a single time. I called multiple times, and while the front desk staff were polite and apologetic, the issue was never fully resolved.
