"The Expedia property description and the property's own brochure were both totally misleading. Having been an Expedia client for many years, I rely on the their information for making decisions about locations to consider. This time we were duped. We were told of dining and bar options that were either closed permanently, closed early, or provided very limited options. For example, the coffee shop's espresso machine was broken and had been for months. The lobby bar and Italian restaurants were non operational. The Marketplace buffet had very limited selections. The highlight of the food options was the pool bar/grill. Great staff and tasty food but only a few options. The casino was grossly understaffed offering only 1-2 live table games at a time. The food/beverage options were 1 star at best. The other facilities (pool, sports courts, putt-putt) were not maintained. Sections of the pool's gunite were scrapped away. They only operated 1 skimmer which was unable to remove the sunscreen scum. The lobby was empty every day. No bar activities and rarely was their anything person at the desk. The activities center was unmanned most days and there was a serious shortage of beach towels. The southern side of the island suffered a major sargassum issue. This would be excusable except they only notified us that the resort beach was closed the day before our arrival. They provided shuttle to another beach but provided no amenities. We felt totally mislead."

"The food is very good from both on site restaurants. Resort needs to do better with daily activities! The scheduled daily activities did not happen at all. AND each night the wifi and tv cable shuts off after about 10pm. SAD!!"
