The breakfast was yummy both days that we were there, and the service at the restaurants was top-notch! However, we were disappointed not to have a swimming pool available to use as guests at Santarena Hotel. The rooftop infinity pool was way too small for the number of rooms available.

The place is nice to stay for two days or so, they are not too many things to do around the town, especially with kids. The restaurant needs to book with reservations, the day we arrived we couldn't eat at the restaurant because we did not have a reservation.

Overpriced for What You Get The hotel is not particularly modern, and the balcony is not very cozy—there is nothing that really invites you to relax. One night, there was a wedding party that was extremely loud, which does not match the standards of a premium hotel. Overall, the balance between price and service is not satisfactory.

The room was very nice. I will say that I didn't have any furniture on my balcony, which was kind of a bummer. I've seen other complaints about staff being rude, not the case with me. The staff at the restaurants, bars, and rooftop were very nice and very friendly. I have seen other reviews about the front desk staff being rude. Personally? I didn't experience that but didn't have very many interactions with them other than hello. So, no problems there. I would recommend this hotel for individuals that just want to chill. If you are used to all-inclusives with a ton of entertainment options on-site, this is not the place for you. Also, keep in mind that there barring Copper and Stone (which is very nice and convenient) but there is nowhere to purchase outside goods ie) snacks, bottled water, beer, etc. If you want something for the room, pick it up on your way to the hotel, if you do not have a car. Otherwise, it can get a tad bit pricey. All in All, it was what I was expecting because I did a lot of research in advance.

The room was beautiful, spacious, clean. Nice bathroom and shower. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was outstanding.

Love the area of the hotel. Very cute aesthetic with a lot to do acitivity-wise. Only 7 restaurants in the area so after a while we felt stuck but that was ok since we left to do tours outside town quiete often. Reason for my 2 star deduction is our room. It was clean and beautiful but 319 is the worse room (or floor). We were right under the pool and on our last night there we could not get a good night sleep as it sounded like the pool was being drained. I’m still unsure what the sound was but it was loud and kept going from 8pm-ish till past midnight. I ended up falling asleep at 1am but was woken up to the same noise around 7am. Every morning we would also be woken up by chairs getting set upstairs. Did not get a good night sleep here at all. Another downside would be the lack of advertising. I found out on the last day that they offered different activities everyday which was posted at another building instead of the one we stayed at. That sucked a little but not completely their fault as I should’ve inquired our front desk about it

This resort was heaven! It's so beautiful and unique. The sunsets are gorgeous. The various restaurants on the property were absolutely delicious. The rooms were very clean and the staff was lovely!

Very much, enjoyed our stay at Santarena, the help we’re very friendly and with great service. They gave us a ride to the Pickleball courts and gave us a ride back and never charged us. The courtyard effect of the area around the hotel with all the restaurants is very quaint. Is it very nice quiet place, we had an immensely great time.

The hotel has a great location with close proximity to the ocean, and the views are truly beautiful. Our room was nicely designed, clean, and spacious, with very comfortable beds and fresh linens. The balcony and terrace were perfect for enjoying both sunrise and sunset, and the cocktails at the bar were excellent. Overall, the setting is charming and the ocean views are stunning. That said, our overall experience was mixed. We arrived just before 9:00 p.m., after a long flight and drive, and by that time all restaurants and the grocery store on the property were closed. It would have been helpful to know this in advance when the hotel contacted us about our arrival time, as we would have planned accordingly. Unfortunately, when we asked if any snacks or fruit were available, there was little empathy shown, and we were simply told to wait until the next day. We also experienced some logistical issues at check-in. The key cards for one of our rooms did not work, and although we were told replacements and a requested rollaway bed would be brought to the room, neither arrived. We had to return to the front desk to resolve the issue, and the replacement key cards were given without any verification, which raised some concerns. While the property itself is lovely and the views are exceptional, the lack of empathy and attention to detail during our arrival left us disappointed.

Me hospedé en este hotel del 18 al 22 de diciembre de 2025 (habitación 209). En general, la ubicación es excelente y las instalaciones son muy agradables y bien cuidadas. Realmente amo este hotel por su ambiente y comodidades, y las habitaciones estaban limpias y cómodas. Sin embargo, mi experiencia se vio completamente arruinada por un grave incidente en el restaurante Celeste. La noche del 20 de diciembre, después de cenar solo un risotto de hongos y camarones, sufrí una intoxicación alimentaria severa que me obligó a buscar atención médica de emergencia en el Hospital Metropolitano (tengo el comprobante). No comí nada más ese día, por lo que el origen parece claro. Lo más decepcionante fue la falta total de atención por parte del hotel: no recibí ningún acercamiento de recepción ni gerencia, a pesar de que el incidente ocurrió durante mi estancia. Tuve que quedarme una noche extra (la del 22) pagándola de mi bolsillo porque no estaba en condiciones para viajar. Además, tuve que buscar personalmente al chef para expresar mi malestar, ya que no hubo respuesta inmediata. Es una lástima, porque el hotel tiene mucho potencial y lo elijo siempre, pero este tipo de situaciones (y la nula empatía) me hacen dudar de volver. Espero que investiguen lo sucedido y mejoren sus protocolos de seguridad alimentaria y atención al cliente.
