"One of the main reasons we chose the Suvarnabhumi Suite was that we wanted a hotel near the airport that had breakfast, a pool and shuttle service. The breakfast was decent, but not special (no omelette service, for example) and the small pool was nice except that the beautiful frangiapani trees surrounding the pool dropped a lot of blossoms and large leaves into the pool, which nobody ever seemed to bother to remove. There was also a fitness room and sauna adjacent to the pool; the sauna looked useful, though we didn't use it to judge; the fitness equipment was dated and some of it, notably exercise bikes I like to use, were out of order. There was a nice rooftop bar/restaurant with a better wine selection than a lot of Thai hotels have, and the staff was helpful: We were seated outside when staff saw a big rainstorm approaching, and they hustled us inside in a nick of time to avoid getting drenched. As for the shuttle service, we were in two rooms, and the 300 baht per room charge to go to the airport meant it was cheaper and just as convenient to use the Grab ride-share app to get a cab and save about 120 baht."
