"Such great hotel all around. Great location, I had a beautiful view from my 10th floor room. I traveled solo and felt very safe at the Civilian. Walking distance to Broadway shows, Central Park, Hell' Kitchen and Times Square! Staff was also so helpful and welcoming."

"Place is so cute, just as pictured. Smells wonderful! Staff is great, respectful, always greeting you, helpful. We would stay again. We did have trouble getting our room cleaned. We were there 7 nights. Only time it was cleaned was when we made a point to ask the front desk for it to be serviced. So twice and one day it was cleaned without us asking. That’s 3/7 nights. We made sure to take off the do not disturb and we’re gone most of the day and woukd come back to a room that was not cleaned-...

"We booked and paid extra for a room with a view but there wasn’t much to see from the floor we were on and the side we faced. Also beware they hold $300 deposit for incidentals and such when you check in, this was never refunded after calling the hotel and waiting 10 business day, had to dispute with credit card. In addition, grout in bathroom floor was filthy and stained, not properly cleaned or maintained. Finally skip the breakfast, food was decent but folks working there are unfriendly."

"had booked with breakfast but not on confirmation and did not realise until arrived so that is just something to double check when booking but otherwise the hotel was fab."

"Stayed here to see the Harry Potter play and it is close enough to walk to. Great location. Time square almost right there. Clean and friendly. They lock the front entrance at midnight and you need a room key to get in or be buzzed in by the front desk, also need a room key to access the hotel rooms in the elevator before selecting the floor, which are both nice security features for those worried about that. Would stay again."
