"Very pretty property, with a great view. A little distance from the city center, but they run a most friendly and flexible shuttle into town that works great, very good idea and a very commendable effort. Breakfast is good. We had a large room (2 adults 2 kids) very spacious. Some aspects of maintenance could be improved, but it is always a challenge with these country homes, they have the charm, but not everything is impecable. A little on the expensive side, but reasonable. Great parking."

"This was a lovely place that I would go to again and again. The hotel itself was stunning, the staff were very helpful and thoughtful, and the food was fantastic. The only concern is the stairs are uneven, so just be careful if you’re unsteady. Other than that, delightful experience."

"Room was good, bed comfy, shower worked well. It’s in the middle of town so there is some noise, especially on a Saturday night, but to be expected. Checking in was easy although it would have been helpful to have two room keys. The woman on the desk did not seem entirely in the same world as everyone else. Parking can be a problem but usually can park in town square (which you need to pay for, either in cash/card or by downloading the local app). Place fairly clean, tables for breakfast...

"The main issue which reduces the lower recommendation rating is the £10 car park charge, which I've never experienced at any overnight hotel stay in my life. Also the internet signal in the annexe where our room was located was poor, meaning that I couldn't communicate effectively with my workplace. This will cost me time in future as I need to compensate and make-up for my schedule."

"Great location for exploring Salisbury as everything was in walking distance. The hotel was spotless and very well looked after. All the staff were so helpful and friendly, with nothing too much trouble. Rooms were fantastic with great air conditioning, much appreciated on the hottest weekend of the year. Eggs cooked to order at breakfast, which made breakfast one of the best I have ever had in a hotel. Superb experience all round and we will definitely be back the next time we are in...

"The welcome was very Good, Booking in was very quick & then showed us to our room. We'll equipped Bar & TV for sports. The breakfast was fantastic, which included A continental breakfast + an outstanding Full English Breakfast with Tea, Coffee, Orange & Apple Juices + water bottles if Required. "On arrival there was road works outside the hotel which we were unaware of. I had messaged to ask where to park but got no answer. The parking is payable across the road and behind some houses. The hotel building is very old and the bar area is quite nice. The two young lads on the bar were very nice and friendly. The room we had was in need of decoration and updating, not in good shape. We had drinking facilities provided but I’d advise take your own as the ones given were to certain tastes....

"Property delivers beautiful views, but the good was average and below expectations, the fans provided in the bedrooms were inadequate and I barely slept a wink, disturbed further by an early morning brewery delivery below my bedroom window. I won’t be staying again :-("

"Usually when I’m not happy with a stay, I just put it down to experience and don’t bother to review it. Our stay at the Hawk was a long journey breaker, so we arrived latish, and left early. On this occasion I just think it is worth giving my thoughts, on room 4 at least: Positives - nice bedroom decor, lovely bed/ bedding, friendly staff. Negatives- TV… no signal, didn’t work at all, aerial lead simply didn’t fit properly… and had to have been that way for a while. Bathroom… some nice fittings,...
