I have never written a bad review and normally will give a place/worker the benefit of the doubt. However, the receptionist working during my check-in smelled badly of body odor and was quite disheveled in appearance. His hat and clothes looked like they hadn’t been laundered in weeks and his long sleeve shirt that he wore under his hotel polo was quite literally ripped to shreds. Not just holes, actual rips/shreds. I have nothing negative to say about his demeanor as he was polite enough but I do feel this was a failure on management’s part by not ensuring staff can cleanly represent the company. Additionally, our stay was made extremely uncomfortable when the fire alarms went off at 3:30 in the morning for no reason for a long time until the fire department could turn them off. This happened again that morning at 9:15 and then again at 9:50. It’s so ridiculous it sounds like I’m making it up but I am unfortunately not. Expedia and the hotel was understanding however and gave us a full refund for our stay and let us check out early as we had originally booked for three nights.
