"Disappointing stay -- needs serious updates and better maintenance Have you heard of 'shabby chic'? Well Quality Inn Ledgewood--Dover is most definitely 'shabby dilapidated'. I recently made a mistake and booked this hotel again. It was a last-minute emergency trip back to New Jersey, and I figured how much worse could this hotel have possibly gotten in three years. I stayed several nights at the Quality Inn Ledgewood - Dover and left frustrated. The building and rooms are clearly dilapidated and badly overdue for upgrades. * Cleanliness: The carpet and upholstery looked stained and worn. I found dust and grime on surfaces and in corners; the bathroom grout was discolored. It felt poorly cleaned between guests. * Room condition: Fixtures were loose, paint was peeling, gaps between where wall meets ceiling. * The whole place, but especially the areas where the rooms are, smell damp, musty, and of a combination of cigarettes and marijuana. The room I was in even had a store-bought air freshener plug-in. So, they are obviously aware of this problem. The air freshener was not enough to mask the smell that permeated from hallway into rooms. * Attempts at renovating indicate rush jobs and poor craftmanship. For example, shower walls looked like they were thrown up without any care and loose faucets. Maintenance to toilet reflects unsightly patching of floor. * The first room 222 I stayed in had a trickle of water coming out of the shower head because the tube spout diverter is br"

"DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!! We checked in & immediately left. There were 2 people outside the front lobby they were screaming & had an open container of booze. Think they lived there. As we were leaving they were harrassing us. When I contacted Hotel.com for help with a refund they were very helpful in trying to get me that refund, but the Days Inn not so much. So, no, I did not get that refund. Lesson learned. Pay the extra for a Hilton or Marriott any place but this. The pictures on their website are not even remotely close to what the actual motel (not a hotel) or rooms look like. Walked into the room and immediately saw a black something on the bed. And It stunk of cigarettes. I’m sorry to leave review this but you left me no choice, should have just refunded me."

"Dont stay here. Upon checking in I was told they were overbooked. While I had booked a 2 Queen bed room, I was given a room with 1 Queen bed and 1 Sofa. And that too the room was MISERABLE. It had a 20 ft by 5 ft Table in it and smelt moist and moldy. I complained and asked for a room I paid for. The front desk wanted me to take that HORRIBLE ROOM or contact Hotels.com for Refund. I asked the person to get the Manager and process refund. Miserable place. Hotels.com - Remove this Listing from your charter."

"Did not frrl safe. Door to outside was not locked. Key card entry was ripped out, only wires. Next room occupants yelling pounding until late, had to request room change. Continental breakfast was ok."
