Great hotel and location. Friendly staff and lovely food and service in the restaurant. Just lost a mark as the room, albeit clean and functional, was a bit tired and didn't really justify it's superior price tag.

Room was immaculate and comfortable. Great shower. Breakfast was delicious, brilliant menu and best eggs Benedict I have ever had. Bar and dining area have a great atmosphere. Outside garden with fabulous views. Hope to return .

Over all not the stay we were hoping for. The carvery roast and breakfast was good and the staff were nice. But the spa was not included in the room cost as described making it not worth £148 a night, the 4 poster bed was not as described in the online photos and the bedroom window opens up over another rooms private hot tub where they allow other guests to smoke all night filling our room with smoke.

Wonderful nights stay with twilight spa, evening meal, four poster bedroom and breakfast. Extremely clean, great staff the food was delicious, small spa but well set out not over crowded absolutely perfect from start to finish.

I understand that this is a venue establishment, but £99 for just a very simple room is a rip off. Staff awesome value for money not. Sorry guys.

The room was clean, staff were clean excellent. Breakfast was nice and the spa was lovely, swimming pool would have been a great addition. However we had a fantastic stay and my partner had the best birthday break here, it was perfect. Would highly recommend this hotel. Thank you

Great location with stunning scenery. We enjoyed sitting on the outdoor terrace with drinks and wrap around scenery. We had a scrumptious meal in the traditional bar in the evening and were welcomed by wonderful friendly staff. 20 minutes drivecto Froghall station where we had a 2. 5 hr steam train ride theough more stunning scenery. Didnt use the spa but would recommend a return visit .

Room was clean and a good size. The Reception team were really helpful and called ahead of my arrival to sort out a key for me as I was arriving after the reception closed. The room was hot, but this couldn't be helped with the heat wave, other than perhaps opening and ventilating the room before arrival. Shower and room facilities were good. The breakfast was good quality, the service staff were very grumpy though, and could have been more polite, given customers had just stayed a night after a heat wave in a non-air conditioned room.

End July 2026. Didn't use Spa or Amenities. Pros: Overall a good stay. Restaurant/bar food medium priced, bar drinks well priced. Premium room had whirlpool bath, very nice, Good pillows & mattress. Cons: TV in room quite old, needs time updated to BST, unable to use EPG as mainly not available. New TV would be better. Knives in restaurant & bar couldn't cut butter, need replacing. Bath surround needs mildew treating.

We did a Spa Day and Dinner Bed & Breakfast. Lovely little Spa with great facilities. Hotel is situated in lovely countryside surroundings. We had a Mud Rasul as an extra and this was amazing and relaxing. Food was excellent and a great menu with local produce. Overall we had a fantastic relaxing time. Would definitely return again.

Friendly staff, room fantastic, very clean comfortable, nice shower room excellent views, great meals staff very good nothing to much, fantastic breakfast great selection of products. Fantastic hot tubs right temperature very relaxing. Fantastic value for money. I will ne definitely back.
