The Priest House Hotel

"Our room was not as big as expected from the photos and we were overlooking a flat roof with extractor fans continuously on - not so great when we had to have the windows open in the heat and could not get the ac to work. However an extremely helpful receptionist (Jay) gave us a different room a little bit further away which was a little bit bigger and slightly less noisy (thanks Jay 🙂). Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting by the river. Evening meal was nice, but I was still hungry as the portion of crushed potato with the bream was miniscule. Breakfast was good apart from the raw mushrooms (shame, as they were lovely big mushrooms and would have been delicious had they actually been cooked). The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Overall, we were happy with our stay and would return again."

"The hotel in general was very good. Just personally, we had a few issues Our main issue is that the hotel. It's so big with long hallways and lots of steps, considering we have a child in a Pram and lots of luggage it was so exhausting to carry everything from the car park to walk across to the hotel. And then find your room. Its hell of a long walk with steps. When we arrived, they gave us a room on the top floor with loads of steps, and the windows barely opened. So we complained and changed the room. But the problem were, the lifts wasn't working? So we had to carry the baby. The luggage and the Pram up-and-down the stairs. It was so exhausting and very, very far to walk to the car park when we were leaving I would say it's not toddler friendly, so any parents with buggies not recommended The stuff are very helpful and friendly. Everything was okay. The rooms was clean The pool was very nice, considering they close early which we wasn't impressed with it The food menu on the bar was limited I hope it helps some parents"

"Loved the courtyard especially at night. Didn't like the bar closed even though there were residents still wanting a drink! Also the cooked breakfast wasn't great."

"The room was clean and comfortable. I did complain about a fire door that was banging on closing. This complaint didn't appear to receive attention."

"Had an adequate but underwhelming stay here over the bank holiday weekend. 3 weddings in 2 days made for a busy hotel. Rooms in need of some TLC. The cleaner hadn’t cleaned the toilet properly before we checked in & we were met by someone else’s poo stains. Took 45 mins for room service to bring us some ice. Food in restaurant was mixed - risotto was amazing, burger very basic - and service was slow. Bar area looks into the area where the weddings are held, so no nice relaxing views. Nothing luxurious about this hotel. Won’t be back."

"Stayed for 2 nights. Perfect location, scenery so beautiful with a golf course next door(excellent short game practice facility free to use) just right for my boyfriend, stayed in the suite stunning, everything you need."

"Really nice hotel with friendly staff and great facilities. Food was really good in the restaurant. My only frustration was that the pool and gym didn’t open til 8am on BH Monday which was too late for us and we didn’t find out til that morning."
