"Beautiful hotel, and delicious breakfast. The only issue I had is that there was a film festival happening right outside my window. The event was extremely loud and went on after midnight.
Since the room didn't have AC, it was hard to keep the windows closed so that meant we couldn't go to sleep until very late, and were constantly being awake by the noise outside."

"Clean room and very quiet beautiful location. However, location is 30-45 minutes outside of Lucerne and transportation is very limited and expensive. Ubers are not frequent in that location so need to reserve ahead of time and only some Ubers will come out that far. Would recommend paying more to stay in town to be accessible to shopping and restaurants. If looking for relaxing location, it is a good choice."

"Absolutely phenomenal! From the moment we arrived at Hotel Engel in Emmetten, the staff went above and beyond—helping with laundry, offering brilliant touring tips, and solving our transportation challenges. Every meal was a culinary delight, and the hospitality was unmatched. Warm, professional, and genuinely caring, the team made our stay unforgettable, especially the Owner! I can ’t recommend this hotel enough—truly a five-star experience in every way!"
