Parfaite localisation. Sur les pistes, près de commerces et quelques minutes à pieds du centre. Propreté de l’appartement était bien.Par contre équipements cuisine très basiques mais ok . Solo dans un studio pour 4 donc assez de place, espace restreint si 4 personnes ensemble. Personnel avenant et bonne note générale pour un 3 etoiles

Fantastic family ski trip

First family ski trip with 3 and 5 year olds. Fantastic place to stay. Straight into nursery slopes and ski school from ski room door. Easy to get back to with young children. Reception staff very helplful. Lovely meal in the restaurant. We will be booking same again for next year.

Adequate location and accommodations

Quick stay over the holiday break to enjoy a week of skiing. Staff was friendly enough to help us with taxis, shovels to clean out snow and recommendations. Unfortunately, the room was a bit smaller than expected - we made it work for two people but the luggage was basically in the living room at all times. Rooms weren't that clean either as we found receipts underneath the bed from two weeks prior - despite checkout requirements being that we clean ourselves. Decent location and could stay there again in the future but explore others as well.

As soon as we got used to the typical small space for skiing rentals it was a nice apartment. But the beds were not comfortable. The property is located in the more quiet and non busy part of Val Thorens, which we enjoyed. On a good street with supermarkets, nice restaurants, skishops, bakery, and car parking. Everything within short walking distance.

Great location near to slopes and restaurants etc, lovely views. Staff are helpful and its easy to ski in and out, but rooms are rather tired and a bit small.

Hyvä lokaatio, mutta epäsiisti hotelli.

Hyvä lokaatio ja hotellista suora pääsy rinteeseen. Huoneesta myös erinomaiset näkymät vuorille/laaksoon. Huoneen siisteyden taso oli vähintäänki ala-arvoinen: lakanoissa tahroja, seinissä kosteusvaurioita, huonetta ei siivottu/pyyhkeitä vaihdettu kertaakaan viikon reissun aikana. Vessapaperia sai yhden rullan kerrallaan kun sitä kävi jonottamassa alakerran vastaanotossa.

Convenient short stay location for friends

We stayed at le Cheval Blanc for 4 nights in late March 2015. It has a youth hostel feel to it with accommodation being basic but clean. We are 3 forty something blokes and were there for a short ski trip with wife’s and kids left at home, and this was definitely fit for purpose – not sure I would want to stay here for the half term family break though. We were in a studio for 4, and there was enough space for us. The beds were comfortable and kitchen ok (no kettle, needed to use a saucepan). It is right next to the slopes – one side of the hotel is ski in/out, the other side requires negotiating a few stairs and crossing the road in your ski gear, not as convenient as the other side but not too bad. The hotel does cross the road and if, like us, your room was above the road it can be noisy with drunkards coming back all through the night from their apres ski. We found that ear plugs were essential for a good night’s sleep.

Rigtig godt hotel til prisen. god beliggenhed.

Rigtig godt hotel til prisen. Ligger perfekt med adgang lige til pisten. Lejligheden har en god størrelse og personalet var virkelig flinke. Vi havde problemer med et afløb på håndvasken i køkkenet og det var fikset indenfor 10 minutter efter vi havde sagt det i receptionen. Indretningen er ikke moderne men i fransk træstil :-) Alt i alt et rigtig godt sted som vi helt sikkert vil bruge igen næste gang.

Forholdvis typisk skiferiehotel/-lejlighed. På papiret plads til fire, men alt efter hvor magelig man er, vil 2 eller op til tre personer nok være mere komfortabelt. Pudsig indretning af hotellet, men i det store hele ikke noget at komme efter. Skiområdet løfter ethvert halvtrist hotel :-)

Good enough

Our stay at Le Chevalier Blanc was ok apart from having a leaking kitchen sink. We advised one of the staff about the issue as soon as we discovered it and were told they were onto it. After 6 days (and asking this same staff member for extra towels to clean up the water leak in the kitchen nearly everyday) we again asked this staff member when the sink would be fixed only to be told they weren't aware of the issue!

We had a very comfortable stay the room was clean and had everything we needed. close to everything. The morning we left at 5.15am our taxi didn't turn up and Trevor arranged a new taxi for us and contacted our ongoing transport at moutiers to explain we may be late. we arrived on time !! Excellent service from Trevor and could not be more grateful for his help that morning especially as I was travelling alone with two teenage lads! Thank you and look forward to returning. Joanne

Perfect for a quick visit

We only stayed on the mountain for 4 days and found this hotel to be perfect for our needs. It's located right by the slopes, but if you want a few drinks in the main bars in the evening it's a little further than stumbling distance. The room was a good size for 2 people, but a 3rd person might have made it a bit cramped. Overall great value for money.

Great location

The accommodation comprised self-catering apartments, which are of the standard variety in the French Alps. Nothing special, but the location made up for it, with direct access to the pistes from the ski locker rooms. The staff were friendly, and we were close to local amenities, so we had no complaints. We had a balcony overlooking the ski area, which was great - I'd happily stay again.

Bonne résidence mais appartement TRES SALE

Très belle résidence, bien située, personnel très satisfaisant, mais l'appartement manque d'équipements et de rangements et surtout appartement très sale et mal entretenu : moisissures aux murs du coin lits supperposés, vaisselle "collée" par la crasse dans les placards, morceaux de pain moisi retrouvé dans les placards, spagetti sous l'armoire, couverts sales dans le lave vaisselle, et accumulations d'ordures dans l'escalier de secours ... Vraiment domage pour ce type de résidence !!! Pour le parking, idem : entretient très moyen et nombre de places insuffisantes donc certains véhicules mal garés et genants. Dommage également qu'il n'y ai pas d'accès assenceur entre le parking et la résidence, car obligés de passer par dehors sous la neige, pour charger et décharger. Pour l'accès aux casiers à ski : côté étages négatif, c'est impeccable car accès direct aux pistes, mais côté étages positifs, cela est très mal agencé : il faut prendre l'ascensseur puis un escalier à emprunter avec les chaussures de ski ce qui est très dangereux, surtout pour les enfants. Donc bonne résidence dans l'ensemble, mais certains points à améliorer, surtout compte tenu du standing proposé ...

Billigt, lite sunkigt MEN bästa läget

Man får vad man betalar för. Och nästan lite till. Vi bodde väldigt billigt och fick ett litet rum som luktade rök (trots att vi önskade rökfritt) men det är verkligen ski-in/ski-out från alla backar i Val T till skillnad mot många andra hotell som ligger lite högre upp i byn som man måste ta en extralift på eftermiddagen om man åkt på "fel" område. Litet minus till att wifi var i princip obefintligt på rummet men gick man till receptionen och satte sig på bänkarna så var det hyfsat snabbt och stabilt. Men man åker (väl?) till Val T för skidåkningen främst och är man inte pjåkig med boendet så kan man inte få det bättre för den pengen.

Best location, clean and good service

The hotel is a bit old, however my room was renovated, clean and equipped with everything you need for cooking and a filtered coffee machine. The location is the best you can find in V. Thorens with perfect ski in/out- you just step out of the locker room and you're on the slope. in addition, unlike other hotels in the higher parts of v. thorens, this hotel is located so that no matter where you end your skiing day, you can go back by skiing in the hotel. if you stay a bit higher in v.thorens and you missed your chair lift after 17:00, good luck walking all the way up to your hotel. the staff was very nice and helpful with information and tips. WiFi is very weak. a tip- if you book there, try and get a room on the (-) floors, as in -415, -619 and so on. These are the rooms with a better view to the slopes, and are away from the road where drunk people walk and shout at 3:00am. the hotel is not near the bars but that's an advantage, anyway they are about 10 min away and the malaysia club is just 5 minutes away. There's a very good sports shop at the hotel and in the surroundings another 5 stores. same goes for restaurants.
