Hot water was very intermittent, I was told it needs to run for 15 mins before getting warm, but I ran it for much longer than that and still had to have cold showers every morning. "The description says 'secure, on-site parking'. This is a lie. When asking the caretaker of the property, she looked confused, said there is no parking included, but that we could park on the street if we could find a bay. There is a multi-story that you can pay to park in a short walk away. So don't expect secure on site parking. Otherwise, standard issue guest house - thin walls, thin mattresses and run down, but clean and cheap. The code to get back in didnt work which was a pain. The...

"Needs a major upgrade. Poor heating due hardly being on and with insufficient window insulation. In fact sash windows can’t close so top of one window was stuffed with tissue. Had to improvise with a towel as the gap in middle needed blocking! General plumbing needs replacing as the smell wasn’t good and outside in the general area had air fresheners all over. Stairs and general decor is in poor condition. Big mistake not reading previous reviews 😡"

"Hotel is beautiful and everything is super chic.. loved our stay, staff very helpful and the areas to chill, drink, eat and relax are good. Swam in pool and lake, also arrived to a beautiful plate of chocolates for our wedding anniversary, lovely treat.. will be back for a girls retreat next time … a wonderful stay .. xxxx "

"The bed was comfortable and the bedding was lovely. The en-suite bathroom smelt of mould, was extremely tiny, as was the hand basin. Also the shower door kept jamming. The heating would not work, despite the temperature being only 15 degrees, although staff rectified very quickly. We lost Netfix and despite request, this was not rectified. On a more positive note, the food was lovely, the staff friendly and the pub was well located. "
