Kaua'i Palms Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Super warm and cozy lodging. Feels like a home away from home. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. My cottage was very clean but it is an older building in general so not spotless. Saw a couple little insects throughout my stay (like centipedes) but with the building being older and made of wood, I expected this. No amenities but they are up front about that when booking and it’s reflected in the very affordable pricing. Cottage had everything I could need; hot plate, rice cooker, dishes and utensils, etc. I will say there’s significant noise. The walls are definitely thin and I was directly across from a pre-school. Front desk does offer earplugs. I would also keep my AC unit running for the air but it also drowned out most noise! Would definitely stay again!!!"

"The breakfast was delicious. Everyone on staff is so helpful Cina, Serena, Josephine, Allison, and so many more. The gift shop was helpful. Plenty of towels for the pool. The Lu'au on Fridays was an excellent experience. The location to Wailua River and Beach access was perfect. Plenty of culture to experience from the landmarks and cultural sites on and near the resort. Big thanks to MamaHunes's Tiki bar, their supply of food and beverages throughout my stay was amazing. Five stars all around for the Hilton Garden Inn ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"

The Royal Sonesta Kaua'i Resort Lihue

"We went here on a family vacation and it was amazing. The beach is great! Smaller waves and excellent sand, with warm water! The pool was also great with warm water and the hot tubs actually worked! Not something you always see in tropical climates. Super close to the airport with a free shuttle, and no airplane noise at all. Walkable to many restaurants and shops. Highly recommended!"

"This older property is clean and had everything my family and I needed for our Kauai visit. The convenience of having a full kitchen and laundry was very helpful. The beds were comfortable and clean. The kitchen was well stocked including a dishwasher. I would definitely consider visiting again when I return to Kauai!"
