"Room was generally clean and tidy. Cracked floor tile in bathroom with water stains to the wall. Showering… no hot water!!! Had to leave the hot tap running over the basin to get any warm water through the shower. Bedroom was cold, thermostat would not work to increase the warmth of the bedroom. Breakfast was massively overpriced so walked into town for breakfast. Bed was comfortable. Staff friendly."

"Very friendly helpful staff, excellent location and lovely views of the Cathedral. Our room was clean and bed was comfortable but a view general maintenance jobs made it look a little tired. Edge of windowsill had fallen off and the surface of the bath had seen better days. Coupled with worn furniture and a balcony which needed a good clean lowered the quality of what could have been a five Star stay."

"Hotel is in a lovely location. When we arrived in the morning there was plenty of spaces in the car park, although by checking in time it was almost full. The staff on reception were very friendly. Our room was very spacious with 2 double beds and 2 chairs. The only issue I had was with the lighting, there were plenty of lamps but no ceiling lights so the room wasn’t as bright as I would like. The bar area was lovely and again the staff were very friendly. We were unable to book the breakfast when we booked the room, so chose to go to the Harvester next door instead, which was very nice and good value."

"Absolutely brilliant enjoyed every second of our stay,staff were brilliant and very helpful and polite met all our requirements and needs,car park a additional bonus and lovely breakfast, amazing place to stay perfect location as we were at the castle for a concert.one word to sum this hotel up AMAZING "

"Not the greatest start to our stay in Lincoln. Link to the check in codes / guide didn’t work so had to call the helpline who were far from helpful when we were trying to figure out what parking space to go into. We had room 8 and they said to park at bay 8 which didn’t even exist!!!! How do the hotel staff not know this about their own hotel? Took a while for them to finally tell us which bay to park in. The curtains are also paper thin and let in so much light in the morning. Which is great if you like waking up at 6am. On a positive it was clean and tidy and there was little noise from other guests. The fridge was a nice touch. However probably won’t stay here again. 3 stars."

"Room 12, Single Room, Private Room, No Hot Water for Shower, parts of floorboard in bathroom missing and bottom panel of shower detached from shower tray. Carpet in Bedroom dirty and bitty. Bed mattress lopsided, bed uncomfortable. I understand it was cheap but you expect it to be clean and have basic functions."
