"We received such a warm welcome at The Boars Head. It felt like everything in the room was really high spec. Loved that we had a stocked fridge (you had to pay for most items, though!) with free milk and a free dram each, too! A espresso machine with good choice of coffees and tea bags. "beds were very uncomfortable .Hard and srings digging in to you hardly got ant sleep. Breakfast was not very good eggs tasted like packet mix not light and fluffy as scrambled eggs should be. Food wasnt very hot by time we got to table it was only just edible. 2nd day i tried the waffle but it wasnt edible well overcooked hard and undigestable. My huband had a roll with 2 sausages best of a bad bunch. We would have liked a good breakfast as we had a 41/2 hor bus journey ahead of us....

"Rooms were very dated and cleanliness was not at a reasonable standard at all, bed linen was dirty, dust on every surface, walls mouldy and cracked and full of dust. Carpets were dirty with stains and covered in dog hair. Windowsills had dead bugs and dirt on them and beds were very uncomfortable (two single beds pushed together is not a double bed which is what we booked for both rooms) overall it was not a hotel we will be returning to."
