"Surprisingly small, beautiful hotel in a historic building. I noticed the attention to the small details from the overall decor of the room, to the pillows & linens, to the robes & slippers, high end soaps & lotions, pitcher of water w glasses and wonderful room service continental breakfast. There was even a secret cute speakeasy bar/lounge across the hall. Loved it ! One small negative is the area is not great & there is no parking "

"Madeleine was extremely helpful, but the room we were “upgraded” to didn’t feel like an upgrade. Though it was a suite, it was on the second floor which meant that there were windows that remained covered the whole time because of the location. I am a person who enjoys natural light, so ot was not ideal. I couldn’t help but wonder whether we were upsold in order to rent a room that is normally difficult to have occupied. The team was incredibly welcoming from the moment we arrived and kindly accommodated our early check-in, which made the day so much easier for us. "Staff at reception on Friday and Saturday was very efficient, friendly and helpful. Having worked in the service industry management for a long time, you can easily recognize valuable employees, they make a huge difference between providing good vs great customer service. She provided great customer service. "

"The Hotel staff are courteous and helpful. The food and service in the restaurants are excellent. The rooms are clean and spacious. Access to the underground PATH is very useful when outside weather is not ideal. The Hotel is close to many downtown Toronto venues and attractions."

"Great location near Massey Hall, the Eaton Centre, restaurants, and tons of shopping. Front desk staff were very warm and welcoming. Bed was reallycomfortable, the mini fridge was handy, and aside from one bedside light not working, everything was great. Would stay again for the convenience and service."

"Excellent and prompt service from hotel staff; our executive suite was comfortable and clean. It's great to see the restaurant open again (only for breakfast for now) after years of closure. We stay at this hotel often and are noticing however that the rooms are starting to look tired (carpets are wearing, furniture is dated, walls are scuffed, etc). Windows are in need of upgrading, both for thermal efficiency and to reduce street noise. "
