"Stayed one night. Food was excellent in the restaurant and a very good breakfast. The staff were lovely. We were up in room 20 which is up two flights of stairs so beware of accessibility. "

"If you can, avoid room 011 (ground floor), not sure what is above but footsteps came through the ceiling late at night and again early morning which woke me. Told reception on leaving but just got a “sorry about that”. Some staff nice and friendly. Public areas OK but a bit tired in places. Free parking and a service station in walking distance. Overall did the job but not cheap. "

"The room was clean and very compact, it lacked appeal but had most of the amenities you would want at this price. There is no interaction with staff at all as self check in, the heating wasn’t on although the radiator in the hall was hot, one curtain hardly covered the window, my room,2, was at the front of the property so people leaving the pub were talking loudly at 11.30/12pm and then again at 1am which woke me up, the shower was good, the wash basin so tiny you couldn’t get the tiny kettle...

"Excellent breakfast. No lift to second floor which was disappointing but staff were on hand to help with bags. Central location ideal. Staff were always cheerful and smiling which was lovely to see. "

"Room was a lovely size and well decorated. Room was relatively clean, with the exception of a few dead bugs in the windows. Room service was slightly disappointing with some items not arriving, and no answer on the phone after to sort it. 10 calls and a voicemail. Breakfast was also disappointing, the cost of £18 per person was very steep especially with very little selection on offer. "Room was okay but small. The mattress was amazingly comfortable albeit the wooden bed frame was a little creaky. The walls are paper thin and the doors closing and opening extremely noisy so not as restful a break as the location demands"
