"A very traditional country house, in a beautiful location, this hotel remains pleasingly original and extremely welcoming. The General Manager is almost omnipresent and leads from the front; he appears unfailingly eager to help guests and to enquire as to whether there’s any little thing that could make a guest’s stay more pleasant. "We booked to stay in a suite which was a great choice. Beautiful, newly renovated and well appointed.
The bed was comfortable, lovely large shower with toiletries and fluffy towels, a neat kitchenette with fridge coffee machine kettle and microwave also fully stocked with plates and cutlery.
The restaurant was closed due to renovations but breakfast was served to our room.
With booking a suite we had a dining area and lounge which made all the difference.
It would be easy to spend a week here...

"We had two rooms for our family and they were both very comfortable. Nice hot showers, good heating, and very clean. We also had both our breakfasts and dinners in their restaurant for two days and they were excellent. We had a variety of dietary needs and everyone had delicious choices. Excellent service, food and ambiance. Overall we would highly recommend a stay!"
