"This is my favorite hotel when visiting the Saranac Lake/Lake Placid region. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking available. Overall, an excellent value."

"Please be aware. This 122 year old facility has a community/shared bathroom, not a bathroom in each room as typical in today's hotels. This means you may have to wait for another guest to finish in the bathroom before you get your turn. Carpets need replacement. Some renovations are in progress. Rooms are clean, but small. Staff was accommodating. Parking was fine."

"Great location, close to whiteface mountain and 20mins either way to Lake Placid or Ausable Chasm. Staff was very helpful proving suggestions to visit Stag Brook falls and restaurant suggestions. Morning breakfast being included at this lodge was a plus to start off our morning without worrying about having the kids fed before starting our day."
