"Very standard minimalistic room, not decorated. Outdated furnishings. There was an ok view out our window but the windows were filthy. Very noisy - there is a one in gap from the floor to the bottom of the door. Lots of noise from the hallway and from the street at night. The 6th floor patio was a nice area - need to have towels available for the lounge chairs (like in the picture). For $240/nt it was a bit disappointing."
"Room did not have adequate items for cooking, no coffee or coffee pot, although coffee was provided in lobby, but not until after 8:00. Not adequate if you were on an early tour. "
"You couldn't pay me to stay at this hotel again. The staff in reception is fine. The location is too close to a bar or party area where people were partying until 2am each of the nights we were there, so we couldn't get a good night sleep either Friday or Saturday night. It's a 4 story hotel with no elevator. The Marilyn Monroe suite where we stayed had a ridiculous shower/bathtub that was difficult to get in and out of and had a terribly installed shower curtain. There was a print of Marilyn Monroe in the bedroom and a trash can that had a print of Marilyn Monroe in the bathroom. I also fixed the toilet myself because someone installed the inner workings of it incorrectly so that it didn't flush properly. The first day we arrived, there were a bunch of linens in the hallway just outside our room. The next afternoon, the linens were still there. The staff clearly doesn't like walking up 4 flights of stairs either."
"Where to begin? Running out of towels for the beach at a hotel but anywhere else in the world might be $100 per night at best that is $500 a night because it is close to the beach.... that is how the first day began. And so we purchased each towel towels. It's made worse by the fact that right next to our door was a basket for dirty beach towel towels. The same towel towels had been sitting there the entire day before. Perhaps if they wash those beach towels. There would be some for the guests. The room was very dirty. There was a lovely patio that we paid extra money for that was never cleaned from the last guest so we did not use it. There was black hair in the bathroom, I have blonde hair. It was not mine. It was revolting. The walls are paper, thin so much so that we started answering the people next to us or above us wherever the sound was coming from and they stopped talking so loud because they understood that we could hear their every word. The staff was pretty unaccommodating. They said everything with a smile, but they didn't say anything to offer any amount of customer service including we arrived at 8 AM and they said they would call when the room was ready, very tired and weary from travel we came back at 3 PM and he said oh yes, your room is ready. But he never did call. they do not tag your bags when you leave them behind the front desk and therefore anyone could take them. "
"Basic hotel, older property, ~15 min walk from ferry station. We stayed in room 106, King with Kitchenette and peek ocean view. It was nice having a fridge and sink, the bed and linens weren’t too comfortable and the room has a 4 post outdoor lamp right outside the windows with no blackout blinds, so the room had a lot of light coming in for our liking, including once sun rose due to thin curtains. Would suggest investment in a blackout shade, lamp was probably on for safety lighting. The price was reasonable compared to most on the island, you get what you pay for!"
