Hotel Carmel
The aircon was noisy. There was an unpleasant urine-like smell. You can hear the noise from the streets (we were at the second floor). Building looks old - needs major renovation. Gateway Hotel Santa Monica
The stay was pleasant. We were on the go most the time. Location was good for the parties we came to see. Breakfast was perfect for the get up and go agenda we had. The only down side was the water pressure in the bathroom sink in #437.
